• Munich - Embark on a delightful 3-hour culinary journey through the heart of Bavaria, where the local German cuisine is both rich and comforting. • Viktualienmarkt - Starting from our meeting point, we’ll pass by Frauenplatz and Marienplatz, two of Munich’s most iconic squares, on our way to the Viktualienmarkt. Initially designed as a farmers’ and herbal market, this is the ideal spot to immerse yourself in Munich’s food scene and sample both local and exotic dishes. Here, we’ll savor the local Bavarian Breakfast (available only at lunch), learn about it, and enjoy a glass of apple juice alongside! Alternatively, in the evening, you can try the Bavarian Leberkäs-semmel, a delicious meat sandwich that is a staple of Bavarian street food culture.
• Marienplatz - Marienplatz is arguably the most renowned square in the city, where you can admire stunning architecture, such as the New and Old Town Hall or the Glockenspiel, the famous mechanical clock. Nearby, we’ll visit one of Munich’s most iconic venues, a classic German Tavern, which has always been a place to spend time with friends or meet new ones! Here, you’ll enjoy a local main dish and have more beer if desired!
• Rosental - After a pleasant stroll through the heart of Munich’s Old Town, we’ll visit a historical spot to taste a sweet treat known only to locals: the Schmalznudel, a delicious fried pastry that’s so soft it will melt in your mouth. But don’t worry if you prefer something else; other desserts are available, such as the famous krapfen!
• St.-Jakobs-Platz - The Bavarian drink scene is rich and offers a variety of options to try! At lunch, we’ll conclude the tour on a sweet note with a glass of Honigwein, honey-flavored wine. Alternatively, in the evening, you’ll finish with a nice digestive; a local schnapps will aid digestion, and we’ll bid farewell to each other with a hearty “Prost!”
