Uniquely fantastic tour! - This was such a cool tour! If you are looking for a tour that won’t take your entire day this is a great one. We chose this tour to find something a little more unique than the obvious sights in Munich. This cemetery has great history and every headstone has a story. You could spend hours looking up each one online and reading about their prominence in Munich. Our tour guide was great and we left with a ton of new information. We had an incredible hot chocolate afterwards.

We were SO LUCKY to catch this on a short time in Munich! - I cannot recommend Katrina's tour enough! The cemetery is the most atmospheric we've been to, outside of Paris and New Orleans, but with MUCH more history and incredible anecdotes than either. The guide has a more vast knowledge than we could even take advantage of during our tour, her next venture should be a book! So wonderful, and so much unexplored at this vast garden, we will definitely return to the cemetery when we return to Munich later in the trip (which is when I initially tried to book, only every day was sold out for later!). Don't miss this one... so much better than queues and crowds on many other tours. Fresh air, wildlife, and serenity on this one!

Amazing Tour – A Highlight of Our Trip! - The Death and Chocolate: Walking Tour of Munich’s Old South Cemetery was an unforgettable experience and truly one of the highlights of our trip. Katrina, our guide, was exceptional. She was so knowledgeable, engaging, and great with both adults and kids. I took this tour with my 10 and 7-year-old, and they had a fantastic time! Katrina made the history come alive in a way that kept everyone interested. The chocolate was absolutely delicious! A sweet bonus to an already incredible experience. We learned so much about the city and its history, and I’d highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Munich. It’s easily one of the best I’ve ever done, and we’ll definitely be booking another tour when we return. Thank you, Katrina, for a wonderful experience!

Interesting and fun tour with a chocolate bonus - We had a wonderful tour of Munich's Old South Cemetery and surrounds with a very knowledgeable and friendly guide. She gave great historical background and context of the cemetery and norms for burials over the years. We really enjoyed our tour! And the hot chocolate shop at the end was a great (and tasty) way to end the event. Well worth the time in this beautiful city!

We loved the Death and Chocolate tour! - My wife and I loved the Death and Chocolate tour, and highly recommend it! It's such a great concept to learn about Munich's history by visiting the graves of many of the folks who helped build and develop the city. We learned about people, plague, personalities, war, companies, government and of course the six families who made Munich a Beer Capital of the world. It was terrific, and not lurid or creepy in any way. The cemetery is really peaceful and lovely to walk through. Our guide welcomed our many questions and seamlessly wove her answers into her narrative. She also kept it fun and often funny. The hot chocolate shop we ended at was also superb, and I strongly recommend the Mexican one! Jon W. Towson, Maryland, USA

A Perfect Blend of History, Humor, and Haunting Stories! - As a passionate enthusiast of old cemeteries, this tour was everything I could have hoped for and more. It beautifully balanced history, local drama, and fascinating ghost stories, all set against the stunning backdrop of a historic cemetery. Katrina was the perfect guide—her deep knowledge and infectious enthusiasm made each stop feel like a step back in time. She didn’t just show us the famous names, but also highlighted some of the more obscure and unique tombstones, offering fascinating insights into the lives and stories they represent. Her blend of humor and fact made the tour not only informative but genuinely fun, and her attention to detail made sure no stone (literally!) was left unturned. Though the heat kept us from enjoying hot chocolate, Katrina surprised us with ice cream, a thoughtful gesture that topped off an already incredible experience. I highly recommend this tour for anyone interested in history, storytelling, or just exploring a beautiful cemetery in great company!

AWESOME tour! - Katrina was AMAZING! She was a fountain of information….professional..super friendly. She went above and beyond showing us the cemetery and other neighborhood spots. It was a great informative walking tour with an excellent bonus at the end! We will definitely be back to do one of her ghost or true crime tours in the future! What a great hidden gem she is!
