- Augustiner Stammhaus - A delightful 10-minute walk will lead the group to this stunning beer hall, where Rich will guide a tasting of several quintessential Munich beer styles. Participants will also savor a traditional Munich “Brotzeit” snack, such as a soft pretzel paired with a spiced cheese dip.
- Nuernberger Bratwurst Gloeckl am Dom - Following another 10-minute walk, Rich will introduce the group to his favorite charming beer and sausage house, established in the late 1800s, located opposite the renowned Frauenkirche cathedral. Guests will enjoy a half-liter of Augustiner beer while sharing a platter of classic Nürnberger-style mini bratwursts, accompanied by potato salad or spätzle dumplings.
- Viktualienmarkt - A brief 5-minute walk will bring the group to the Viktualienmarkt, Munich’s historic outdoor food market. Here, participants will explore the market, taking in the vibrant atmosphere, delightful aromas, and the array of culinary delights offered by the food vendor stalls.
- Giesinger Bräu - Stehausschank Viktualienmarkt - Adjacent to the Viktualienmarkt, the group will pause for a beer at the indoor or outdoor “standing bar” and patio of Giesinger Bräu, known for its innovative craft beer styles and classic Munich lagers. The tour will conclude with a 5-minute walk back to the starting point at the Mariensäule, near the Neues Rathaus or New City Hall in the Marienplatz.

Based in Montana, USA, the Operator frequently travels to Germany and Belgium to guide tours of beloved beer destinations for eager visitors.
The tour includes a visit to a grand beer hall for a tasting flight of Munich’s classic beer styles, along with stops at two additional beer taverns. Participants will enjoy a Bavarian “Brotzeit” snack, a hot bratwurst “mini,” and potato salad. The tour is conducted in English, with the Operator also able to converse in a bit of German and French, and provides written guides to Munich beer in Spanish, French, Italian, and German.
