The Englischer Garten park’s entrance sees the Eisbach river’s waves garner attention from not just surfers, but spectators globally. Globally recognized for its stature, excellence, and reliability as a city center spot for river surfing, this location has been a surfing hotspot for four decades. The artificially created Eisbach river springs up from beneath the ground, located a short distance from the Haus der Kunst art gallery on Prinzregentenstrasse in the Lehel district. A strategically placed stone step forms a stationary wave approximately half a meter in height. The one of a kind surfing culture amidst the city’s hustles offers a challenging but unforgettable experience.
