• Gateway of India - Guests will be collected from their hotel and transported to the Gateway of India, where the walking tour commences. This impressive 85-foot-high gateway overlooks the Arabian Sea. Constructed in 1924, it served as the ceremonial entrance for the British Viceroys of India.
• Taj Mahal Tower, Mumbai - Across the street stands the stunning facade of the Taj Mahal Hotel, a renowned landmark in Mumbai. The hotel has welcomed numerous distinguished guests, including presidents, industry leaders, and movie stars. The vicinity of the hotel features several upscale boutiques. Continue the walk down Colaba Causeway to Regal Theater. Established in 1933, the theater was designed by Charles Stevens, with interiors by Czech artist Karl Schara.
• Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Vastu Sangrahalaya - Proceed to the 20th-century building of the Prince of Wales Museum. The museum showcases a blend of Indo-Saracenic, Mughal, Maratha, and Jain architectural styles.
• Elphinstone College - Opposite the museum is the 19th-century building of Elphinstone College, one of Mumbai’s oldest colleges with a distinguished list of alumni. The grand building is designed in the Gothic-Victorian style, complete with balconies, balustrades, gargoyles, and turrets. Further along the road are several more historical buildings.
• University of Mumbai, Vidya Nagari - The tour passes by the University of Mumbai building, established in 1857.
• Flora Fountain - Continue along the Mile Long Road to reach Flora Fountain, a beautifully crafted heritage monument topped by the Roman Goddess Flora.
• Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus - Next on the agenda is Victoria Terminus, a UNESCO World Heritage site. It was constructed in 1887 to celebrate Queen Victoria’s Golden Jubilee.
• Jehangir Art Gallery - Conclude the walk with a short taxi ride to a charming cafe near Jehangir Art Gallery. Guests may enjoy refreshments (at their own expense) before the tour concludes.
