- Kanheri Caves - Upon arrival, visitors will explore the Kanheri Caves, nestled within the lush greenery of Sanjay Gandhi National Park, one of Asia’s prominent national parks. These caves, dating from the 1st century BC to the 10th century AD, provide insight into the ancient Buddhist community’s way of life. As the guide leads the tour, they will highlight areas designated for living, studying, meditation, and worship. Visitors can admire the intricate system of canals and cisterns that supplied water to the cave dwellers.
After the tour, guests will return to Mumbai, with a stop for lunch (at their own expense) at a local restaurant along the way.
