Introducing Shilpa, a welcoming hostess dedicated to introducing guests to Punjabi food, a highly appreciated cuisine globally. Start your experience at her centrally located residence in Mumbai, sipping a welcome beverage while getting acquainted with Punjabi culture and gastronomy. Then, accompany Shilpa to her kitchen for a hands-on vegetarian Punjabi cooking lesson. You’ll learn how to prepare roti/paratha (type of flatbread) using traditional methods. Shilpa will guide you on how to cook several more classic, hearty dishes such as paneer makhanwala (homemade cheese in a rich tomato sauce) and rajma (smooth kidney beans gravy).
Post cooking, sit down for a meal with Shilpa, as she guides you on how best to savor each dish. She’ll reveal, for instance, that the laccha paratha (a layered flatbread) pairs best with a minty chickpea delicacy! Along with the dishes you cooked, your meal will feature other delicacies Shilpa has prepared beforehand. These include bharwa tinda (stuffed apple gourd), delicious malai kofta, dal makhni (creamy slow-cooked black lentils), and a sweet finale with kheer (a sweet rice pudding dessert).
