- Share Rason Synagogue Bene Israel - This is the second-oldest Bene Israel synagogue in Mumbai, constructed in 1843. It was established following a division in the management of the earlier synagogue, Shaar Harahamim (“Gate of Mercy”). Some members formed a new congregation, leading to the creation of Shaare Rason (“Gate of Desire” or “Gate of Will”).
- Magen Hassidim Synagogue - As the largest of the Bene Israel synagogues in Mumbai, this synagogue continues to function with a small congregation.
- Chabad India - The Nariman House, known as a Chabad house (Hebrew: בית חב”ד), is a five-story landmark in the Colaba area of South Mumbai. It served as a Hasidic Jewish outreach center managed by Gavriel and Rivka Holtzberg, who owned the building since around 2006. The center included an educational facility, a synagogue, drug prevention services, and a hostel. It was one of the locations targeted during the November 2008 Mumbai terrorist attacks, resulting in the deaths of six occupants, including the Holtzbergs. Their two-year-old son Moshe survived, thanks to his Indian nanny, Sandra Samuel.

The Jewish community in India is comprised of 03 distinct groups: Bene Israel, The Malabar Jewish community and the Iraqi Jews. Their history dates back to over 2000 years ago where there is evidence listed on the cemeteries in Hebrew. Today the community has shrunk considerably; however, there is a large community still active to share the history with us. This program combines both Jewish histories (as we go the beaten track to explore this remarkable culture) with the traditional Indian temples and palaces through the land of the Maharajas.
