An eye-opening and respectful experience with a brilliant local guide - We did the tour in Dharavi with Chirag who grew up in the area, and it made all the difference. From the very beginning, it was clear that this wasn’t a “tourist show.” He explained everything with honesty and depth, sharing how daily life really works here, the jobs, the small industries, the community structure, education, challenges, and also the strengths of the place. What stood out most was how detailed and balanced his explanations were. He didn’t romanticise anything, but he also shared the beauty of community that is created throughout the area. He helped us understand the complexity of the area, how people live, work, and support each other, and how important this part of the city is for Mumbai’s economy. You could feel that he truly cared about explaining everything properly and answering every question we had in mind thoughtfully. His English was clear, his knowledge impressive, and his attitude respectful and open. This tour completely changed our perspective and helped us understand Mumbai on a much deeper level. Highly recommended if you actually want to learn something. Don't miss out on an experience like this with a local!

Elaphanta Caves and The Slums - Had another great time visiting the Elephanta Caves and then the Slums with Krishna. Not only was he knowledgeable because he lives there but he was very fun to listen to. I enjoyed him and the tours very much.

Dhavari with subhan - Subhan was a great guid. Very patient and not knowing Hindi myself he explained very well in English. Definitely worth it.

Eye‑opening Dharavi Tour with Priti- - I recently toured Dharavi with Priti as my guide, and it was one of the most insightful experiences I’ve had in Mumbai. Her English is excellent, and her deep knowledge of both the slum and the city as a whole made the tour incredibly informative from start to finish. What makes Priti’s tour truly special is that she lives in Dharavi herself. As she leads you through the winding maze of narrow lanes, she shares real stories about daily life—how people survive, the sense of community, and the incredible resilience of the residents. She explains the many industries that thrive here, from clothing and pottery to leather dyeing and recycling, giving you a clear picture of how hard people work to make ends meet and what they typically earn. It’s a raw, honest, and respectful look at a part of Mumbai that many visitors never truly understand. Priti presents everything with warmth, clarity, and dignity. The experience was deeply eye‑opening, and I walked away with a far richer understanding of Dharavi and the people who call it home. Highly recommended.
