Great Tour for those that want to have fun and become a part of Bollywood - Bollywood is a complex and hard business - although on TV it always looks so easy.
Best Bollywood Tour (with Rahul Khan) introduces you into this ecosystem by enhancing the Bollywood Studio Tour with his expertise and knowledge of the business. Being an actor, writer and producer he knows how the business runs.
We had the chance and pleasure to do the Bollywood tour with him and his wife.
Rahil is extremely passionate and when you do the tour with him and his wife you will have a more immersive and fun based tour introducing you into this shining and artificial world of Bollywood.
Our tour was in the afternoon and we were a party of 7 that attended his tour.
We all had a lot of fun and got a lot of funny pictures.
But…. It depends on you! If you want to have fun, are open minded and willing to enter the world of Bollywood by acting and performing - becoming a part of it - you will have a cool and enjoyable time.
Otherwise… please reconsider your choice as the fun only comes when everybody wants to have fun and turns off his mind and brain for a short time to “live the moment”.

Worth booking - An excellent tour if you want to get close up to the action. Don’t expect Universal Studios as this is much smaller and intimate. We watched a popular TV soap being filmed whilst standing in the set.
The video and dance programme was fun as was the dubbing studio and group kareoke version of Mama Mio. Overall great fun if a bit long.

Rahil is just brilliant - Bollywood for Beginners! - I was very worried when my wife suggested a Bollywood studio tour, as I couldn’t imagine that I would want to spend an afternoon in an Indian TV studio during my time in Mumbai. But I can honestly say I haven’t had this much fun on a tour ever! We were a family, with three teen girls. One of them was ill, so it turned out to just be my eldest(17) and youngest (13).
So - to set the scene - think 80’s Universal Studios. The studio is big, the sets are vintage and there are tacky statues of Bollywood film stars are dotted around the place. It is a working studio with actors on set. But what makes the tour golden is Rahil Kahn. He is so passionate and funny. He engaged all the family and kept the afternoon flowing from start to finish. We knew nothing about Bollywood so this was definitely not a pre-requisite. The tour started with a dance performance of three Bollywood style dances, interlaced with videos of some background of Bollywood. The dances were performed by a local dance troupe.
We had asked for a Bollywood dance session ourselves during the tour, so Rahil organised for a local dance tutor to come in to teach us a few moves. We were encouraged to dress in Bollywood costumes, which the girls loved more than I did. The whole session was hilarious and a really lovely experience. We then did the studio tour, which was a little bit informative but mostly just a lot of fun - again partly because it was so retro. Green screen videography with weird CGI ghouls, we went to the sound room and did a karaoke number which was just dreadful and learnt some insightful bits about movie sound creation.
Everyone knows and respects Rahil, which makes the tour more engaging and you’ll definitely end up with lots of pictures with yourself with C-list celebrities by the end of the tour. You feel like he’s giving you a private guided tour of his own studio! And there is usually filming taking place, so you’ll get to walk through the action. You can even do your own short movie sequence if you fancy it! Rahil seriously couldn’t be more accommodating and keen to show us a good time. The only thing I’d say is that you will only get back what you give - our time was so special because we all were up for having fun and giving the activities a go - even though we were absolutely terrible.
A great family activity. Go and enjoy if you can fit it in to your time in India. I contacted Rahil directly to arrange the tour by searching him on the internet after having read a number of the reviews on different tours. The Bollywood dancing element was key for us and I wanted it a little more tailored. He came to our hotel to our hotel the evening before to discuss what we wanted to do.

Great day out in Mumbai. - As always, its all about people.
Mr Rahil Khan was a fabulous host. He is obviously well respected in the industry, which reflected in the excellent reception we had from actors and production staff alike. The very kind and friendly treatment we enjoyed from the director was particularly memorable.
A huge thank you, Mr Khan and all Mumbai.

RAHIL KHAN is the Best Man for Bollywood - I had the best day with Rahil Khan in the studio. He showed me so many different sets, introduce me to directors, crew members and actors. I saw the production of several TV shows and got the opportunity to watch real process of making movie. We also met several big movie stars including his personal friends Ayesha Singh and Adnan Khan who are very famous. I told Ayesha Singh that I had some problems with my hotel and she kindly offered me to stay at her house. It was so kind and nice, I was really moved. I had an opportunity to ask them questions and had nice conversations with them. The program also included great dance show and film about history of Bollywood. I had an opportunity to dance with the dancers, and also thanks to Rahil Khan, talk to them. I tried on a nice costume and took nice pictures. I took a lot of great pictures to remember this experience. It's definitely the highlight of my trip. I think Rahil Khan approaches his work with care and love and support. It was such a joyful day.

The Most Interesting Tour of Our Three Days in Mumbai - Today's Bollywood tour was very well organized, and communication with the provider was excellent. We were picked up from our hotel on time and brought to the studio. There we met Mr. Rahil Khan, who greeted us directly at the S. J. Studios. He is an actor and screenwriter himself, and very courteous, attentive and friendly.
The tour was very informative and gave us exciting insights behind the scenes of Bollywood. We even had the chance to witness real film shootings live. Everyone on site was very friendly, and we immediately felt like a part of it.
Even though it’s not the largest studio, it is impressive what is possible in the film industry.
Thank you very much, Mr. Rahil!

Bollywood in Mumbai - This tour gave a good overview of a working Bollywood studio. We went on set during filming of three sessions and met the actors. We saw a good video of history of Indian film making. Also live show of dancers and opportunity to join in at end of show. Our guide Rahil shared his passion for and real life experience of involvement in Bollywood acting and film making.
