Additional Information

Our journey begins at a must-visit Armenian site - Khor Virap. We then proceed to the Monastery Noravank, which hails from the XIII—XIV centuries. Following these two monastery visits, we’ll head to Goris for an overnight stay.

Post-breakfast, we’ll explore Karahunj Observatory, often referred to as Zorats Karer or Zorats Kar, a Bronze Age megastructure boasting tombs and over 220 standing stones.

Our subsequent stop is yet another celebrated medieval Armenian architecture specimen - Tatev Monastery, erected during the 9th-13th centuries. ‘Tatev’, in Old Armenian (grabar), translates to ‘give wings’. Owing to the Wings of Tatev, the world’s longest cable car (5.7 km), this monastery complex has turned into a frequently visited site in Armenia.

While journeying back to Yerevan, we will briefly halt at the Areni winery, providing you the chance to sample Armenian wine and delve into Armenia’s winemaking history.
