Highlights
  • Jvari Church - Our tour begins at the Jvari Monastery, an ancient temple dating back to the 6th century AD, located near Georgia’s ancient capital, Mtskheta. Perched atop a high mountain, it offers stunning views of the surrounding area, where the turbulent waters of the Aragvi and Kura rivers meet. The temple draws thousands of tourists due to its architecture, location, and historical significance. The name of the church translates from Georgian as “the cross” and has its own unique history, which we will share with you there.

  • Mtskheta - Our next destination is Mtskheta, the ancient capital of Georgia and a museum city that, like Jvari Monastery, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Inhabited for 2,500 years, it was once the capital of the early Kingdom of Iberia. This historic town is home to many ancient monuments, including the Pompey Bridge, a stone bridge over the Kura River built around 65 BC during the time of Pompey the Great, Bebris Castle from the 1st century, and the Svetitskhoveli Cathedral, one of the most sacred places and the main Christian Orthodox Cathedral where Christ’s robe is said to be buried.

  • The Chronicle Of Georgia - Our final stop is the Chronicle of Georgia, a massive stone monument often referred to as the “Georgian Stonehenge” or “Georgian History Memorial.” This monument, designed and created by Zurab Tserteli, depicts scenes from Georgia’s 3,000-year history and consists of 16 large columns, each reaching a height of around 35 meters. The top part of the columns features the most notable and powerful kings, queens, and heroes of Georgia. Additionally, the monument offers a breathtaking panoramic view of Tbilisi Lake.

Safe , comfortable and knowledgeable - We had private tour of our family of 4. The price was great , cheap , much cheaper than any other travel company in Georgia. We were in a well maintained minivan. The driver drove extra safe , since we had kids and he was nice to everyone. He knows everything about his country and he is very proud of it and told us everything he knew. Everything was on time and professional. Highly recommend tour and company !!

Mtskheta - Jvari + Chronicles of Georgia- Private Tour - Our jaunt to Mtskheta - Jvari Private Tour + Chronicles of Georgia was like winning the history jackpot! Our guide, George, was a real gem - a walking encyclopedia with a side of entertainment. Seriously, he had more historical facts up his sleeve than a magician has rabbits. We were all ears as he regaled us with tales about Georgia, its neighbouring countries, and the places we explored. And just when we thought it couldn't get any better, George busted out the Churchkhela, the magical Georgian candy that's basically Snickers on steroids. It was like a party in our mouths, and our taste buds were dancing like nobody was watching! If you want a guide who will tickle your funny bone and treat your taste buds, George is the history guru you've been dreaming of. Prepare for a trip filled with belly laughs and sugar-induced euphoria!
