Donald is amazing - We had an amazing experience Donald was outstanding. I would highly recommend. Took five hours to go up and for to go down.

Hiking - I did the hike with the guide Donald a few days ago. It was just us to together and a very nice experience. He talked English well and had many interesting stories and facts to tell. I will really recommend the trip!

Difficult but fun - The 7.4 mile climb up Conception Volcano was one of the most challenging/dangerous due to all the loose rocks and dead wet leaves littering the non existent trail. I was covered in sweat, mud/volcanic ash, dirt on my face & in my nails, cuts, blood, & bruises on my hands and bum (luckily no other injuries), unfortunately clouds covered the view up top, and there were many insects/bugs 🐜🍃🦟… but it was so much fun and the full of gorgeous leafy greens and monkeys 🐒.

Realy good experience! - We realy enjoyed our day with our guide Donald. He has a lot of experience and gave us good tips for the climbing. He is realy good in english and friendly. The climbing is difficult but doable. Donald let us take pauses as we needed. I recommend!

Stress free travel and great guide! - Happy Tours Ometepe provided a stress free and excellent experience. Donald was fantastic from the moment he collected us from the ferry port. He was enthusiastic, helpful, informative, and made our trip easy from the moment we met him. His communication was always clear and useful which made getting to the island easier and his punctuality and assistance was faultless. I cannot fault this trip - perfecto!

Challenging tour with great guide - I enjoyed this trip with Donald, our guide. Besides bringing us up and down in one piece, he showed and told us about flora and fauna on our way. :) At the top it was pretty cloudy, but a few hundred meters downwards we got an awesome view around the island. It was a great experience!

Happy Tours? More like... Super Happy Tours - We went with our homie Donald Doug, he's the man. Weather wasn't the greatest, but I couldn't come to Ometepe and not hike the volcano 🙄 Donnie D is super friendly and informative, I recommend booking Happy Tours if you want a happy tour with a happy ending. Bring good footwear.

Challenging, rewarding. Great trekking tour! - Fantastic day out which I would thoroughly recommend. I booked online the day before and the owner was straight in touch via WhatsApp, offered to arrange transport from my hostel and then gave us details of what we would need to bring. The climb itself is tough but doable for the vast majority of people - I’d read some pretty daunting reviews but we didn’t have too many problems. They way down was pretty technical. I wore running shoes but ideally you’d have hiking boots. Donald, our guide was great, and we talked all day about life on Ometepe, the volcano itself, some wildlife and some tips for what to do the rest of the trip. He even brought a few snacks along for us for morale!! Can’t recommend highly enough!!

Happy Tour? More like Super Happy Tour - We went with Donald Doug, he was super friendly and helpful, weather wasn't the greatest but I couldn't come to Ometepe and not do the hike. Glad I did it and that we had a good guide. Highly recommend booking with Happy Tours if you wanna have a Happy Tour. Also recommend wearing good footwear, but he'll take care of you regardless.

Great communication - I had a stomach bug and had to change the date and eventually cancel. They were extremely accommodating and communicative! Wish I could have made the hike!
