Energize yourself in Chinchero, the city that most authentically retains Inca traditions. Here, you’ll encounter one of Peru’s most stunning colonial churches and be encircled by the revered snowy peaks of Chichón and Wequey Wilca.

Proceed along the ancient Inca path to Urquillos, a hamlet once ruled by the Inca Túpac Yupanqui, renowned for its remarkable colonial mansions and haciendas.

Departure from Cusco is at 8:00 a.m., with a bus ride to Chinchero.

At 9:00 a.m., you’ll reach Chinchero to explore its church and archaeological wonders. The descent on the Inca Trail begins here, lasting roughly 2 hours towards Urquillos.

By 1:00 p.m., you’ll arrive at the Sacred Valley of the Incas and tour the village. A traditional lunch awaits your enjoyment.

At 3:00 p.m., you’ll commence the return trip to Cusco.

Expected arrival time in Cusco is 5:00 p.m.

Additional Information

The Incan Sacred Valley is situated 16.5 miles to the northeast of Cusco, beside the Vilcanota River which is further down referred to as the Urubamba River. Its length extends from the town of Písac to Ollantaytambo. A short trek of an hour from the city of Cusco will lead you to this enchanting valley and its astonishing archaeological locations, including Ollantaytambo.
