Highlights

Marrakech - Imlil - Tacheddirt (3000 m):

Imlil - We leave Marrakech after breakfast and go to Imlil via Asni. Imlil is the main starting point for hikers, and a lively market town. There is a constant movement of people coming down from the mountains, and an equal supply of activity from those who are about to embark on their adventure. We meet our muleteery team and once all our equipment is loaded, we start walking along the valley towards Tacheddirt, about 8 km beyond Imlil. Soon the trail starts to climb as we climb to the Tizi n’Tamatert pass (2,279m). We then descend to the pretty village of Ouaneskra and continue for half an hour or two to Tacheddirt (3000 m), where we generally camp by the river. Meals included: 1 breakfast, 1 lunch, 1 dinner.

Additional Information

Scaling Mount Toubkal, North Africa’s towering summit, promises vistas from the Marrakech plains to the Sahara desert.
Mount Toubkal stands as Africa’s second loftiest mountain and the pinnacle of North Africa. Rising 4,167 meters above sea level amid soaring neighboring peaks, it offers a climb that’s immensely satisfying. Typically outside the winter season, the ascent doesn’t require technical skills, and those with a fair level of fitness stand a good chance of summiting. A short journey from Marrakech situates this mountain.

The play of light, the landscape, and the people. All these elements come together to transform the High Atlas into an expansive, magnificent stage where diverse backdrops and dramatic episodes abound. Count on unexpected developments.
Indigenous to the region, the Berbers have retained their traditional lifestyle and their native tongue, Tamazight, to the present day. Let’s delve into the lives of these hospitable and hearty folks.

Amazing Toubkal - Myself and 2 friends knew we wanted to hike Mount Toubkal and Lahcen brought this to life with ease. From the moment I contacted Lahcen he could not do enough to ensure that we had everything in place for our trip. The trip went without a hitch and we got to have an amazing 3 days hiking with stunning views from the top. The only thing we did not get was the snow that we wanted but I can't put that one on Lahcen.

Toubkal - Achieving the summit of Toubkal in very difficult visibility and unexpected snow conditions was amazing and made easy by the our leader and crew. The judgment and timing of our leader, Mbark, was perfect, ensuring that all 14 of our team achieved the summit. Where as other groups did not.

Amazing, challenging, exhilarating- all in very good hands with Adrar Adventure 🤝 - This was my first trekking experience and I felt extremely well supported- physically and personally- by our amazing guides Rachid and Abdul and their magnificent team. We were so well looked after from the very start to the sad farewell at the end of our amazing adventure. I highly recommend Adrar Adventure to anyone looking to take on the challenge of Toubkal.

Visit the top of the world in North Africa with the team at Adrar Adventures taking all the strain. - This was my fist mountain trek with an organised group and it was the best introduction possible. From the moment we were met at the airport to the moment we were dropped off, our every need was catered for. A wonderful team of guides, chefs, mule drivers and hotel staff made the experience one that will stay with me forever. Fantastic accommodation; excellent food throughout; knowledgable, helpful and experienced guides; and a very well-planned itinerary left nothing to chance.

Felt like family. - I took a small group of 11 from the UK to Toubkal. This had originally been planned for 2020 but we all know what happened there. Superb assistance leading up to the trip with contact questions regarding our bespoke trip. From the moment we were collected at the airport to the moment we left we were so well looked after, it felt like we were part of the family. Transfers excellent, hotels as described and the trekking was superbly led. Even when things went wrong out of anyone's control, (missing bagaage) they couldn't be more helpful. Morocco is amazing and we felt like welcome visitors. Wouldnt hesitate to use these guys again. P

Amazing trip, well looked after, definitely recommend. - Fantastic trip. Mountain guides Rashid and Abdol were excellent, they kept us safe, were incredibly patient and catered for a range of abilities within our group. The chef allocated for the whole trip did a fantastic job, as did the whole team looking after us for the 6 days.
