Nice experience - The 1-day hike is a nice thing to do if you’re planning a trip to Tanzania and let’s you feel just a bit of Kilimanjaro. Taste of Afrika provided a good service: both driver (John) and guide (Peter) were helpful, professional and had an overall good mood that was a plus.

Taste of Afrika is great! - As a small tour operator, Seka was so helpful, accommodating and flexible. I arranged my day hike with him late the evening before my arrival at Kilimanjaro and he took care of every detail-above and beyond what was expected. The guide, Nickson was great as well. He was knowledgeable, clearly enjoys his work, and even taught me a little Swahili along the way. Thanks Taste of Afrika!

Exciting and well organized day tour to Kilimanjaro - We were so glad to pick Taste of Afrika for this day-tour around Kilimanjaro. Seka picked us up on time from our hotel in Arusha and drove us to Moshi, where we improvised to stop for a very necessary taste of local coffee, before starting our way to the mountain. There we met Benjamin, our guide, who was as kind and fun as Seka and made the experience very entertaining. We got to see some monkeys on the way up!! We were also given a deserved meal box after the (moderate) effort to reach Mandara Hut. Finally, we were returned to our hotel in Arusha to wrap up an exciting day.

Amazing day trip to Kilimanjaro - I booked a day trip to Kilimanjaro with Taste of Afrika, because they were locals and the cheapest in the market, and, to be honest, I was not expecting much, however, I had an amazing experience with Taste of Afrika. Seka, the owner picked me up from my hotel and dropped me to my next accommodation. He is a very kind, honest and reliable person, with a deep knowledge about nature and very pleasant person to talk to. Overall, my day trip was very nice and I would highly recommend Taste of Afrika to anyone. Also, please bare on mind that they are small local business who needs our support, they have a huge competition amount big foreigners Tour Operator. Please, please, leave your money to the locals

Amazing trip, good, reliable and friendly service. - If you are looking for an amazing one day trip to Kilimanjaro, you should definitely go on this trip with Taste of Africa. After being picked up in Arusha to be brought to Kilimanjaro, Alex, the founder of Taste of Africa, will make sure you have everything you need for your day trip. From drinking bottles (no plastic bottles allowed in the national park) to hiking boots, he will have them available to you. Alex was also very informative about the local cultures and current affairs in Tanzania, which was really cool. The guides were very knowledgable and friendly, if there was a moment where we did not have too many questions they would entertain us with fun facts and teaching us (more) Swahili. Where our untrained eyes were not too quick in spotting wildlife, they noticed instantly which lead to us seeing different types of monkeys and birds on multiple occasions. In addition, we also did the waterfall tour. The view is just unreal! Alex was really flexible in arranging this with the local guides and made us a good price. To summarize: Do this! I strongly recommend Taste of Africa

Meets my expectations - The tour was executed exactly as expected. The driver was punctual, the guides came with all I needed for the trip, and they were quite accommodating. They were also accommodating to me being vegan, and the meal was better than expected honestly, and fairly filling. Special shout out to my guide Nickson, he was very knowledgeable and didn't spare any effort to explain about the mountain, it's history, and the species living there. He was quite passionate about his job. The communication with the company was also quite easy.

its a shame how they treat tourists - Its was my first day of holiday in moshi. And i tasted all the scams. 1, if i had not have called them using the hostel staff’s phone, no one would have picked me up that same morning of my day hiking trip of Kilimanjaro. 2, the just arranged my tour right after i called. 3, they hired a freelancer guide and driver after i called. 4, the freelancer guide cheated me, made me paid his coffee and made me rented 2 bottles for water for 10000tzs(which supposed to be free coz its in the contract), he had been trying to sell me his painting and his other day tours. He asked 3 times tips before entering the Gate, in the middle of the tour and at the end. 5, we had a rest at the middle of the tour, he tried to persuade me to go back to the gate without reach the first camp. He didn't wanna continue by saying its raining and other ppl are going down according to what he thinks. 6, the agency Totally didn't know i had booked this day tour. 7, the manager told me that he would talk to his boss and would tell me how we solve what i experienced, but until today i have not heard anything from him. So i decided to write this view even if they give me nothing back!
