Great bike tour - I signed up for this tour expecting to be in a group- but had an amazing 1:1 tour which went through rice fields, includes the Rau forest, and beautiful sugar cane fields. It lasts 5hours 8-1pm, including lunch and pick up, so is kinda between a half and full day. But midday is the hottest time of day so it’s hard to power on past then anyway. Lunch was delicious local food, and my guide also brought local snacks and water for the journey. Thanks Alpha!

Unforgettable local experience!! - We had an amazing time on the bike tour with lots of experiences during the day: riding through local villages and seeing lots of locals, eating sugarcane straight from the field, walking through rice fields, seeing lots of exotic fruit trees and baobabs and so on! It was a complete immersion into Moshi local life, local population and nature. The organization was great as well: we had transfer both ways (to bike2kili office and back to the hotel), good bikes, lots of water, big portions of food in the end (including vegetarian), the route was well-planned. Said and his team is very sociable and shared many facts during the tour, and the tour itself was very easy-going and fun. Would absolutely recommend!

Africa Real and Authentic to just spoke it in - Moshi is a busy town, and if you want to see the real areas around Moshi, away from all the noise and shops this is the right activity for you. I was traveling on my own and got paired up with 2 Guys, which wanted to do the bike ride as well. So in the cool of the morning we started our little adventure. The sky was overcast so perfect conditions for a bike ride, during the day the sky cleared up as we came out if the Ru Forrest Reserve, where we could spot countless colobus Monkeys, one actually greeted us right at the gate. Then we went to the rice fields where we saw give the agriculture of rice works in the area and enjoyed a freshly harvested coconut each before continuing on to the sugarcane plantation. Slowed down by a flat tire, we went to lunch and the local market Afterwards.

A nice way to spend a day - Bike2Kili Safaris - Our family (three adults) did the one-day bike ride around the Moshi villages in late Dec 2023. Bike2Kili Safaris is local small business in Moshi. We rode about 12-13 miles (20 km) and it was a nice way to see the rural areas and observe everyday life for the locals. Our ride included visiting farmland where we had fresh coconuts, riding through small villages, and having a late lunch in the market area. Planning our day was easy and convenient for the following reasons: Good communication - We texted with the owner (Said) through WhatsApp and he was responsive, friendly, and flexible when we had a last-minute schedule change. Reliable - They provided timely transportation between our hotel and their bike shop. Good pricing - We paid $50 USD per person for a full day activity. This was extremely fair compared to what other tourist companies were charging for various one-day activities. To have a positive experience, riders need to be comfortable with operating a bike off-road (e.g. uneven ground, mud, dirt paths), prepared for hot temperatures, and riding in the congested city streets of Moshi. Overall, we enjoyed our one-day bike tour as it provided us with some variety before heading out to hike Mt. Kilimanjaro and then do a safari. My thanks to the team at Bike2Kili; they helped make our trip to Tanzania unforgettable.
