Enjoying of Materuni - It was an amazing experience, with Sylvester as guide. He showed us the whole coffee process and he and his team made possible to live one demonstration about how was and how is now this process. We enjoyed a lot and we are recommending this experience to our friends and family. Thanks Sylvester!

Great trip to Materuni - I highly recommend the experience. First we went to the waterfall and we were alone having a bath near to the waterfall, ot was amazing! Then we went walking to the hotel and they explained us how they make coffee first seeing of they select the seeds, then singing with them while smashing the seeds... It was very funny and dynamic. In our case Silvester was our guide and he explained everything we wanted to know about materuni, it's nature, community, in a proper way so everyone could understand. 10/10!!

Wonderful Experience! - Amazing and beautiful experience in Day 1 of Tanzania, Special thanks to Zaphania for bringing me to see the majestic Materuni waterfalls, short sharing about the culture and fruits along the hikes and coffee bean presentation at coffee farm tour. The Chagga villagers were so friendly, and I love the coffee ceremony dance and happy singing by the coffee farm crews and Zaphania. Then a cup of Arabica coffee was served to me, it was aromatic and sweet. Followed by a hot lunch, the bean soup with green banana was so delicious, Tamu, Asante sana!

An experience of a lifetime, once you go to Materuni, you will be forever changed!!! - Ah, what can I even say after our adventure in Materuni, words can not describe our experience there... :) We stayed there for 2 nights after exciting but tiring safari trip in Serengeti and N'gorongoro. We arrived in the middle of the night, and immediately I assumed that these guys are great since they sent 2 locals to wait for us on the road in the middle of the jungle. Just in front of the Materuni house, our driver got stuck on the road but all people from Materuni homes came to help us and get us our of the road. Since that moment, all of us together started to laugh and we never stopped laughing. The fun continued through the next 2 days, we went to to waterfalls, we had our coffee tour, we went to see the breathtaking views in our neighbourhood (and feed the goats) but the shining star of this tour was our guide Sylvester. This guy, wow wow wow! This guy is cracking jokes all the time making you laugh so hard that your belly and face hurts from laughing. He is the most amazing person ever, not to mention that he is very knowledgable about coffee and Materuni, but also he really but REALLY takes care of you. On our way back our safari driver had some issues with his car which caused total chaos in the morning, we had to catch an early flight to Zanzibar from the airport which was 2.5 hours away from us. Sylvester was running with us downhill carrying our bags, organising motorbikes and taxi car to get us to the airport, he then drove 2.5 hours with us to Arusha to make sure that we got to the flight and after returned back by public transport. I mean, what can you even say about this guy? Words can not describe our gratitude to Sylvester, to the whole team of people in Materuni homes that were helping us with everything, the chef and his food which was so delicious, also to the lady boss of Materuni homes who was so kind to us (btw, our rooms were spotless clean, thank you for that as well), you truly want to move in there and just be with all of them for the rest of your life. :D Btw, nature is just amazing, it is just a part of the world that has such high energetic vibration, even if you do now want to, you will laugh for sure. Love love love all of these guys, highly recommended!

Unforgettable experience - Incredible few days with Sylvester in his village and what a way to end our Safari in Tanzania… We were greeted and shown to our beautiful and comfortable room and then after settling in we had a delicious Chagga meal with ginger tea cooked for us under the stars. We woke the next morning and visited the local waterfall which was amazing, and after a cold swim we headed back for a wonderful breakfast in view of the snow capped peak of Kilimanjaro… Sylvester then gave us a tour of how coffee is made and surprised us with actually helping to make our own coffee, along with singing and dancing and roasting the beans over the open fire. We enjoyed the fresh coffee and after buying some to take home we sadly had to leave.. but not before trying some local Banana Beer and wine…! We had an amazing time learning about and experiencing the Chagga culture and Sylvester was great throughout. We hope to come back again one day..!

Materuni Waterfall and coffee tour with Sylvester and Julius - Amazing experience, learning how to make the coffee (Kahawa), the food (chakula)was very good and plenty of it! The walk to the waterfall was scenic and the hot springs were the perfect end to the day. Couldn’t recommend our guides anymore - Julius, the best driver in the business and Slyvester. Both very knowledgeable and friendly, really made this experience 5*
