Materuni waterfall and coffee plantation tour with lunch 28 May 2024 ! - This is a must see place if in Arusha or Mt Kilimanjaro area. Worth your time and money for anyone who can trek!! Our guide Sylvester went above and beyond to help our little one navigate the trail path. There was slight drizzle but we had all our gear such as ponchos and trek boots a life saver!!! The views are magnificent and the falls are beautiful. To add more the coffee plantation tour after the falls was even special with the Chaga cultural experience of singing and learning about the coffee making process and the delicious hot Chaga lunch. We roasted and brewed our own coffee which was very clean and refreshing. Overall we are impressed with the environment culture and have beautiful memories. Kudos to our guide Sylvester and our travel team Altezza!!!

Waterfall and coffee tour - excellent - Great tour! Our guide Sylvester was friendly, knowledgeable and informative. Relatively easy hike into the waterfall. But if rainy it could be muddy and slippery in some areas. Hiking shoes with good grip recommended. Coffee tour and was very informative and fun with hands on experience preparing the beans and the coffee. The coffee was amazing. Highly recommend Sylvester and this tour.

Exploring Materuni waterfall and coffee making - Incredible experience, I totally recommend it!! The demonstration of coffee-making techniques by local experts was something exciting for me. We learned about the process of cultivating and harvesting coffee beans, from seed to cup!! Our excursion to the waterfall was an unforgettable journey!! Led by knowledgeable and enthusiastic tourist guides, our group embarked on a hike through winding paths. Their expertise not only ensured our safety but also enhanced our understanding of the surrounding ecosystem. It was an experience that will stay with us long after the adventure has ended!!!

An amazing experience ! - I had an amazing time at Materuni Village near Mount Kilimanjaro. This place is special because it lets visitors really see and feel what life is like in the village. The people here, known as the Chagga, are welcoming and have a lot to share about their culture and home. The local guides are friendly and care a lot about preserving their home. They, along with everyone involved, make sure visitors have a great experience. Especially, Sylvester is awesome! He explained us the whole process of making coffee and after he led us through an amazing route to the stunning falls !! I recommend Materuni Village to anyone looking to experience real Tanzanian culture and nature. It’s a visit you won’t forget!

Great trip to Materuni - I highly recommend the experience. First we went to the waterfall and we were alone having a bath near to the waterfall, ot was amazing! Then we went walking to the hotel and they explained us how they make coffee first seeing of they select the seeds, then singing with them while smashing the seeds... It was very funny and dynamic. In our case Silvester was our guide and he explained everything we wanted to know about materuni, it's nature, community, in a proper way so everyone could understand. 10/10!!
