Materuni Village is located on the northern part of Moshi town. It is the last village before Kilimanjaro national park and it is only 15 Km from Moshi town. You travel on both a tarmac and rough roads.
A moderate hike of approximately 40 minutes to beautiful Materuni waterfall with an English speaking guide. Along the way learn about local village lifestyle and enjoy the beauties of nature. Learn different types of flora and fauna. You will get a chance to test Chagga local banana beer in local bar.
What to Bring on Materuni Village Tours:-
-Swim suit (if you are interested in swimming at the waterfalls)
Good walking shoes (you will be hiking)
-Comfortable clothes for the trek (consider layers as the climate can change from cool to warm)
-Camera
-Jackets/Fleece for evenings,
-Sunscreen & Insect repellent.

Waterfall 😍 - It was an amazing experience 😍
Professional team and great company.
The hiking tour is approximately 2*2.5km, but it is worth it at the end.
I recommend it.

Materuni + Chemka hot springs - Great experience with Moana ! We did 2 days with them, visited Materuni waterfall with coffee tour on the first day and Chemka hot springs the following day. Everything ran smoothly, our guides were punctual, very nice and prepared. The food was great and for both experiences, we arrived earlier than the general crowd, this was a great plus! I highly recommend these guys, part of their income is used to run their NGO to give back to the community. You will be in great hands !

Fun and carried - It was very fun! So funny and open people over there! Our guide Gea is a really nice guy! Friendly funny understandable always makes lot effort to you feel comfortable! He also was able to keep up with us late in the club ;)

Amazing experience with trip organizer and materuni waterfall - Amazing, I arrived at around 8 at an amazing 'hostel' (you share the room with max 1 other person). The trip organizer, Gea is a really nice guy and accompanied me to an amazing club and made sure I had a good time. The tour and waterfall was amazing, though don't make the same mistakes as I made and bring your swimming clothes. He also took care of transport and made sure I had arrived at my destination safely. I would highly recommend going on this trip as it was amazing. Unfortunately I had to go back to work on Monday, otherwise I would diffenetly stayed longer.

Amazing day - It was a really nice day with an amazing guide, very friendly professional and serious.
We learned also a lot about the fabrication of coffee it was very interesting!
I recommend at 100% this tour with Moana Tanzania

beautiful nature - we spent a great day in beautiful nature. The way to Materuni Waterfalls was mussy and therefore slippery, but the hike was very enjoyful
