Additional Information

Like worlds apart yet so near. We’re just a 20-minute drive from downtown Reykjavik. Our ATV adventure takes you to the hills in Reykjavik’s backyard, where the wilderness begins. You’ll enjoy stunning views of the area, including volcanoes, geothermal steam, Mount Esja, towns, lakes, and horses. You can even see the famous basalt columns during this 2.5-hour activity. If we’re fortunate, you might catch the red sky of the Midnight Sun in summer or the Northern Lights in winter, as if in another world.

We offer pickups from all hotels in the Reykjavik area where possible. However, please note that Reykjavik has designated non-pickup zones in the downtown area, so we use special tourist bus stops there. The nearest bus stop is usually close by.

If you choose to meet us at the meeting point, our basecamp is just a 20-minute drive from downtown Reykjavik.

Great tour! - This was awesome! Totally worth it even though it was foggy out so we couldn’t see the sun! Super fun and easy for beginners but with enough challenge to make it seem cool. Loved all of it and recommend!

This was the most amazing... -
This was the most amazing experience! I would highly recommend to anyone traveling to the Reykjavik area. Luckily, we ended up having a private tour, and our tour guide was fantastic. Even though it was rainy and foggy at the time that we went, driving the ATVs around the lake and up the mountain was such a fun experience.

Great adventure - The ATV tour guides were very friendly and helpful. It was just me and 3 kids and they accommodated that nicely. The tour was beautiful, even in not so great weather. I would highly recommend this company and tour.

Absolutely Incredible - The Midnight Sun tour was the perfect way to start our trip. Kristjan picked us up on time, we caught glimpses of his beautiful horses before getting geared up and headed to the lake and up the mountain. The views from the mountain are unparalleled and we got to go at the perfect pace. Kristjan is kind and gave wonderful insights about the town, country and everywhere in between. We were also super happy when the other company rolled along and we could see the comparision- on my tour it was just my husband and I and the other group was much larger. We weren’t even off the mountain and my husband was trying to cancel our other plans to do this again before we left. Highly recommend.

Awesome tour - This was an awesome tour with Siggi! He provided us with lots of information in regards to the land of Iceland, info different areas, provided information on the Icelandic horses pretty much anything in regards to Iceland he could tell us. As we were riding along we stopped pass a farm that had their horses out and we was out interviewing the horses and he allowed time for that. The ride was great the tour was great the only downfall was that we didn't make it to the Mountaintop to see the sunset because another couple had ran off the road with their ATV and had to wait to be pulled out but that wasn't any fault of Siggy. I absolutely love the tour and would do it again if provided the opportunity!

The guide did not tell us anything... -
The guide did not tell us anything about local fauna or anything of that sort, he just gave us a quad to jump on and said this is accelerate, this is brake, that was about it. We drove for about 20 mins to the top of the mountain, we stopped there for way too long like 20-30 mins it felt like for photos, and then we drove again for 20-25 mins. All in all it felt like 45 mins of driving on ATV. I felt the ATV quality was also not as good as the one I drove in Santorini. The brakes were not set properly which made the car very jerky whenever i braked. For 300 USD for 2 people for 45 mins ATV its really overpriced. Midnight sun didn't look that great like the pictures they show in the adverts either. The pictures are misleading actually. I suggest doing the normal ATV tour which is cheaper with Nice Travels. We did another tour with Nice travels and they were the best tour guide out of three tested in Iceland. Or if you are a couple like we are, then get a buggy from safari.is
