The owner and trail ride guide where so kind and patient. My seven grand kids and I loved the day!

I have experience riding horses. The woman guiding the tour excessively kicked Cricket multiple times really hard in the ribs over and over. Having seen how resistant Cricket was before the ride to follow directions, it would have been obvious to anyone that taking another horse (who was available) would have been a wiser choice. The enclosures for the petting zoo were in poor condition. There were three bunnies in one very small cage, and there was feces all over. Employees kept walking back and forth past them, and never gave them any water. There was no water in their cage or food. There also was not enough hay/sawdust to cover the wire bars of the cage covering the floor. Where the horses were tied between rides, they were in direct sunlight and there was no water available for them to drink. The horses were also tied in such a way that they could not graze between rides. I was very disappointed in the way that all the animals were treated. I will not be returning to Barnyard Friends & Stables, and I will be recommending that others take their business elsewhere.
