Highlights
  • Marrakesh - We had a fantastic day in the Atlas Mountains with Atlas and Sahara Day Tours. Mustapha was very efficient and quick to respond to emails regarding the day and our reservation. Rashid picked us up from our Riad in Marrakech promptly in the morning and drove us into the mountains. His English was very good and he allowed us to stop at various points along the route to take pictures. He also told us about the places we were passing along the way. Once we arrived we had a cooking lesson and learnt how to make beef Tagine. The Riad staff and chef were extremely nice and let us take an active role in the cooking! We were then taken on a 2.5 hour walk in the surrounding area (passing waterfalls and mint tea stops along the way!) with Hassan who was very knowledgeable and willing to answer all our questions about the mountain communities and the nature. We ended our day with the tagine we had made previously. Rashid then drove us back to our Riad in Marrakech. All in all a very enjoyable way to experience the Moroccan mountains. We would recommend the tour to anyone. Definitely remember a camera and trainers for walking, plus a jumper and sun cream as it’s cold but the sun is strong!

Atlas cooking class, mountain walk and camel ride - Had an excellent day visiting various Berber villages in the Atlas Mountains, I got to spend time in his family’s home and prepare food with a traditional Berber family. Our guide Mustapha was really nice and knowledgeable about Berber traditions. We stopped off in so many beautiful photo spots and took a camel ride also. Amazing

Stunning day in Imlil Valley - My girlfriend and I wanted to escape the heat in Marrakesh, so we decided to book a trip to the Atlas mountains. Our driver Hassan und our guide Mustapha picked us up from our Hotel and our journey began. At first, only a few kilometers from Marrakesh we stopped at a argan farm where we got a lot of information about argan seeds and the products made of it. We even got a little breakfast and got to try some of the cosmetics. On the way to the mountains we had several stops to take pictures und learn about the history of the Berber folk. Mustapha always made sure we had enough water and answered all our questions. As we arrived at Imlil we met Mustapha‘s lovely family and made Tajine with his mother. We had a lot of fun as the children of Mustaphas brother were making fun of us peeling and cutting vegetables. ;) Don‘t get me wrong, it was a nice atmosphere and we really enjoyed it. :) During the Tajine cooked Mustaphas brother took us for a little hike around the valley and we made lots of beautiful pictures. When we came back we finished the food and ate our selfmade Tajine. To sum up we really enjoyed the trip and we can totally recommend it! :)

Wonderful Experience and Exceptional Value - A fantastic day out. Good communication throughout. Outstanding value for money. Mustapha is one of the nicest people we've met and has a passion for sharing his love of the area and Berber life. His whole family was welcoming and it was great to cook with Mustapha's grandmother in their lovely home. We visited genuine Berber villages, well off the tourist route, where we were made equally welcome. Mustapha was an excellent host who went above and beyond what you would expect from a tour guide.
