Best day of our trip to marrakech, Ourika valley, Berber house visit, meal and Lalla Takerkoust - I'd been given the job of researching and booking a trip to Marrakech for my dear friends 50th birthday. After booking flights, a Riad, and awalking tour around the city I had the hard job of finding the real Morocco. I stumbled upon Morkosh tours as they were offering a full package, a full day to suit our requirements at a very reasonable price and the personal service for our group of eight. The day outweighed our expectations. We visited three valleys, had mint tea with a Berber family, trecked one and a half hours to see The Ourika waterfalls with a lovely local lad who knew every rock and slope... we were quite slow as we were having lovely conversations with our helpful guide, lots of photo opportunities and rests. After our trek we had a three course meal all included in the price in a picturesque setting. Some of the group members asked if it was possible to take a camel ride, as a Vegan I had researched a tour that didn't include exploitation of animals and I was happy to walk alongside and take photos... I was actually very impressed with the way the camels were looked after and they were definitely not overworked. We were offered a visit to a local ladies cooperation to view/purchase argon oil and other natural beauty products (we had purchased in Marrakech on our walking tour so we declined, but I'm sure if it was as much fun at the day before it would have been on our list) we were offered numerous stops for a beer but we saved our drinking for the last stop of the day in the desert valley of Marrakech by Lalla Takerkoust, here we enjoyed a bottle of local grey wine and the most beautiful sunset. Omar and Youness became friends and the ten hours we shared together were great fun and very informative. I came away not only seeing the beautiful landscapes and meeting lovely local Berber families but filled with a wealth of knowledge about Morocco that I hadn't arrived with. I will be back to book another tour to the Sahara Desert and maybe see Fez with Morkosh tours as I know I'll be in safe hands and have a fabulous experience for a reasonable price. Thank you Youness and Omar you made our trip unforgettable.

trip to paradise valley from marrakech - This was a awesome trip. Private driver pick us up in the hotel 8.00. Me and my boyfriend got a car for us self, there were comfortable seats where you could rest your arms. The driver gave us the choice of driving straight to the paradise valley or driving a detour so we could go to see the viewpoint of Agadir. It was a lovely view of Agadir. When we arrived in the Paradise valley, we chose what we would like in our tangine meal, after that a guide showed us around in the paradise valley. Than it was time to have a refreshing bath. Just be careful, the stones are really slippery ;-) After swimming for a while, the guide came to pick us up, the food was almost ready, there was optional cooking course if we wanted it. Excellent driver. He drove responsible. If we needed to stop he find a place to stop. If we wanted to visit a aloe vera plantation we could do that. Very nice driver. It cost 100 euros per person, we were gone almost 12 hours. Definitely worth it. I would really recommend this tour. Get away from busy Marrakech to just enjoy birds singing, palm trees, refreshments baths, and lots of nice scenery. We were here in September, the local people told us that in winter is the best time to be here as there is more water there, then people used the rocks as a water slide and there will be waterfalls.
