Highly recommend - Had a great time with my 8 & 11yo on this tour. Fanny & Gus were great tour guides. Calvins’ (Gus) enthusiasm for the role and the story telling made the whole experience that much more fun. Bravo!

Fun, interactive, educational and entertaining - Miss Fanny and Gus were very entertaining and made it fun by staying completely in character throughout the entire tour. The props were amazing and together with the actors, one had the sense of how life really was back in the prohibition days. We recommend this tour!

A Walk Back in Time - We were so glad that we got tickets for this very entertaining tour. We were met by Miss Fanny who was Mr. Capone’s business partner here in Moose Jaw. She set the time and stage for us taking us through Mr. Capone’s wardrobe and his personal toiletry items all the time talking about what to do and what not to do. Then she takes us bootleggers down to meet Gus and here even more fun begins. Great acting and impersonations, noise props, audience involvement….very entertaining and educational too. Would like to come back and take the other tours on offer.

Such fun! - This was really different for us-and so much fun!! You meet at the ticket office (turns out to also be the end of the tour) and walk across the street to the start of the tunnels. An actress meets you to set up the background story and to start you off as bootleggers. Then you meet Al Capone’s guy in the story to take you to the tunnels. All actors (& a few animatronics), are fabulous and explain how Moose Jaw tunnels worked with Al Capone. We believe a lot of facts and some stories were told- either way, this was fantastic. We now understand why people do all 3 tours- we would have if we’d had more time in town for sure!

awesome and educational experience - Actors were in great character. Possibly a little too much as my kids got very involved. Well organised

Entertaining but lacking information - Our 10yo kid loved it, acting like we were smugglers running from the mob and the law was right up her alley. The 6 yo was a little scared of the shooting and screaming sound effects, something to consider if you have little kids. The tunnels are so interesting and artifacts very intriguing, I would have liked more factual information that the fast-talking actors did not explain. Who dug the tunnels, how did Capone come across them, did they extend the tunnels and make the secret openings or were they already there, how far down are we, where are we in relation to the street. I'm sure records with some of this info is hard to come across, but there has to be something and an opportunity to ask questions or faq sheet would be beneficial. Also why can't we take pictures on the tour?

Great tour but misleading booking website - We did the two tour combo. The Capone "Chicago Connection" and "Passage to Freedom " Chinese Underground tours were well done and interesting. The actors did a great job of portraying their part so I would give that part of the experience a 5* rating. However be aware their website can be a bit misleading. when you get a quote for the price of the tour it is not for both tours but only one so you need to double the price for both tours. I incorrectly assumed the quoted price was for both tours. When we arrived for the tour we had to correct the error and was charged for the second tour. Because of the poorly designed website I only gave it a 3* rating. When you select a two tour combo the quote should be for both tours with option to select times. We have done the tunnel tour In Pendleton Oregon and the Slot canyons in Arizona and their websites were much less confusing and don't require an ambiguous warning.

Poor customer service do not book with this company - The tour was great but very disappointed In viator. They refused to reimburse 1 ticket out of our group of 8. One person woke up very sick and could not make it to the tour. Viator would not give the ticket purchase back against their policy! I guess they want sick people to come and spread their germs to everyone else on the tour ! Poor customer service and no compassion !

Lies lies and more lies. - Absolute bull----! These tunnels were built to transfer steam, water and fuel from one building to another as was done in hundreds of cities in the late 1800s-early 1900s. In fact the mounting bracket locations for the piping can still be seen in these tunnels. Canada had no enforced prohibition until the late 1920s and that was only for two years as a result of the first world war. Neither Al Capone nor any of his affiliates ever came anywhere near Moose Jaw. In fact Capone never left America at any time. There was no need to hide alcohol in Moose Jaw as it was not illegal and if Capone had wanted to leave Chicago there are a thousand places a lot closer than Moose Jaw. The Chinese of the area also vehemently deny any connection between these tunnels and their ancestors.
