Since Lokafyers aren’t regular guides and only conduct tours occasionally, they offer a truly authentic and personal experience, akin to a friend guiding you. By the conclusion of the tour, you’ll be adept at finding your way around the city, feeling confident that you have all the necessary knowledge to fully enjoy your trip.
- Lokafy tours provide a general overview of the city with practical information from a local’s perspective, not detailed historical facts.
- In case travellers would like to include a visit to an attraction, they would need to cover the cost of entrance for themselves and also the Lokafyer (local guide) .
- Children must be accompanied by an adult.
- Children below 3 years old are free of charge .
- Operates in all weather conditions, please dress appropriately .
- We recommend wearing comfortable shoes .
- This is a walking tour.
- Tours are entirely personalized, please provide the start time, meeting place and information about you so that we can organize the tour .

Travelers can request the tour to start from any centrally located hotel. In case your hotel is outside the city center we will select a convenient meeting point in the city center. Tour may end at a different location from the departure point unless requested in advance of the tour.

Montreal Tour with Guide Carlos - Carlos gave us a spectacular tour, starting in old Montreal and working our way into the city and then to the underground city. He was extremely knowledgeable about the history of Montreal and brought us to key locations where he was able to explain so much about the origination of Montreal and all the changes it went through since it’s origination. We couldn’t have asked for a better tour guide to show us around this spectacular city!

Fantastic local guide ! - Our guide was fantastic! He showed us the most interesting parts of Montreal.
We only had one day to visit the city and by having a local Guide we were able to cover a lot of area and obtain interesting information about the places we visited .
It was a wonderful experience and more enriching than if we would’ve just wandered around on our own . It was like having a friend in Montreal!

Carlos Made The Tour - Carlos was a fountain of information, presented it in a timely manner and in a very interesting way. He made the tour most interesting, his English was easy to understand, and he paced the tour to our needs. Highly recommend him!

Private tour of Old Montreal and Old Port - This tour was exactly what we were looking for.
In 2 hours our guide, Carlos gave us a wonderful overview of these areas of the city. As we walked he pointed out popular sights and the little known ones.
He had a wealth of knowledge regarding the city’s history with dates and antidotes. We learned so much! Thank you, Carlos.

The perfect way to see the city - This was the first tour of this type I've ever taken part in and we really enjoyed the personalized and customized nature of it. It's really one of the first tours we've taken in over two decades of traveling in which we felt we were in control of the program and itinerary. This made the experience a lot more fulfilling.

Our guide was 45 minutes... - Our guide was 45 minutes late. She did text me and communicated regularly but we ended up with much less time. We made the best of it. She was sweet but hard to hear and wasn’t all that chatty. The company did refund half of what we paid which was the right thing to do and they did with no issues whatsoever. Good customer service!

Thumbs down - Our guide showed up sweaty like he had run there (running late maybe). At the start, he went next store to get water. Later stood in line at the water fountain. Okay fine… but I would’ve thought he’d be prepared for a 2hr tour - assuming he’s done it before.
He didn’t tell us much about the city and wasn’t passionate about it. He was friendly enough, but basically just walked us around and didn’t know the answers to our questions. He recommended taking a boat out to an island but couldn’t remember the name of it.
We concluded that maybe he was covering for someone else, and that this wasn’t something he normally did.
All in our group regret spending the time and $ on this.
