Enjoyed the ride! - Was a great way to get a feel for the city and go back to places of interest. Driver and tour guide were very good.

So worth doing this.. You won't be disappointed. - My husband and I took the tour on Saturday the 27th, It was awesome..Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and very funny and personable .. Would recomment it 100 percent.. Well worth the money.. Saw so much and learned so much.

Comfortable city tour - Nice overview of city without the stress of driving. To save time, ask in advance ( possibly no celll service if american network)exactly where the bus stops, as all stops are not easily identified. The bus does not always stop directly in front of the tourist attraction.

Replacement bus service! - We have done hop on/off buses all over the world and was looking forward to another in Montreal but had finished for the season! However, we were lucky to have arrived at the starting point at 1030h and was told there was a 3h coach tour of the city as a winter replacement for the hop on/off tour. We decided to go for this and the tour was very good including a walking part by the cathedral and stops near the olympic park and Mount Royal for photos. The live commentary was bilingual and very informative. We got a good overview of the city and was quite reasonable value for a 3h tour.

Good experience - It is a nice way to get to know the city. The fact that it is two days allows for a general tour and then another tour going down to the places that have aroused the most interest. I don't give it five stars because there is no possibility of simultaneous translation into other languages. There is the possibility of choosing the excursion in French or English only

Tour guide difficult to understand - Not many of the stops sparked our interest. Always enjoy doing grey line hop on hop off tours. Great way to see the city. Enjoyed the farmers market!

Not really what I was expecting - Not really a true hop on hop off tour like others I have done in London and Paris. It’s more like a city bus tour. It wasn’t made clear by Viator that tickets had to be exchanged for wristbands in the main tour office, so that wasted some time. Once we were on the bus, there was no warning before stops and stops were very short. So, since we were sitting on top there was no time to come down if you wanted to “hop off.” Stops were also not marked and many reviews state it was confusing where to find the bus. The tour was okay, not a whole lot of interesting facts or history from the guide, also the jokes were not funny. I don’t really recommend this as a way to get around Montreal but if you just want to sit on the bus and see everything in about 2 hours, this might suit you.

Not truly hop on hop off - We bought tickets through Viator and it wasn’t made clear that we had to go to the office of the tour company to exchange our online tickets for wristbands, so that took up some additional time. Once we were on the bus it was okay but it’s not really hop on hop off like other cities we had taken similar tours in like London and Paris. There was no warning before stops, stops were super short, less than a few minutes so if you’re sitting at the top and you want to come down to get out, they don’t give you time. They don’t even give you 10 minutes to get off the bus at a look-out to take a photo. So we just ended up staying on the bus for the full tour. The ticket is good for two consecutive days but after one complete tour on this bus, it’s more efficient to Uber to wherever you want to return to. Not too many interesting facts of history from the guide and the jokes weren’t funny.

Some Better Information on Bus-Stops is Required to Make This Worthwhile - Once we found where we had to be to board the bus and were actually on the tour, it wasn't too bad, but we did struggle initially and even a stop in at the local information tour desk could not help us as to where we needed to be/how to pay, etc. The commentary was good and the buses are old London double-deckers which is a bit cute, but not very comfortable, particularly for the elderly I would imagine. All in all, for the expense, I'd give it a miss and find your way about the city some other way. I wasn't up to walking on the day we went but we ended up walking around so much to find the buses that it affected our enjoyment of the day as a whole.

Very poor service. Bus didn’t appear as scheduled. - Bus was waiting to depart and intentionally took off a minute earlier than scheduled when driver saw us running towards it. We waited more than an hour for the next bus which was supposed to come by every 30 minites. Grayline does NOT keep to schedule. Beware.
