Marc was the BEST HOST ever!!! - Marc was extremely knowledgeable on the entire wine making biz, on the entire Languedoc region, local geography and economy and above all was an enjoyable host to spend the day with. He picked our group up in a Mercedes van on time and we visited 2 wineries. The tour was exactly what we wanted and on a 1 - 10 scale, Marc's personality took it to an 11.

Informative and welcoming - Bertrand was very genial from the outset of our tour. He picked us up in his comfortable van in a convenient location, on time. From the outset, he shared detailed information about the land and its history, and its relationship with the grapes and the people who transform them into wine. He took us on a tour of the winery, explaining the process by which white, rose, and red wine are made. We took a short hike to see a panoramic view of Pic St Loup. After, we sampled many good wines in a beautiful tasting room, during which we played a game of guessing various scents from unlabeled vials of essences. Then he took us to his home, where his delightful mother and wife served us a sumptuous home-cooked meal, with wine, of course. On our way back, we stopped at a charming medieval village. The entire time, Bertrand answered all of our questions in excellent English. His knowledge, his passion, and enthusiasm were unflagging from start to finish. Thank you, Bertrand for a wonderful experience.

Vineyards in Montpellier - We were greeted on time with such a friendly host who collected us and drive us two two vineyards. She was a very knowledgeable winemaker in the making and we learnt lots! The two vineyards were very different and both had some superb wines to try.

No wrong answers. Just don’t say it smells like potatoes - Brilliant tour of a couple of wineries. Lots of information about each of the wines we tasted as well as information about the individual wineries. Lovely to see some of the local towns in passing. Highly recommend this as a way to elevate your education about the underrated Languedoc wines.

Inappropriate service - Good wines. Interesting scenery. Nice guide. But it was irritating and disrespectful to have this advertised as an English tour and all six of us on the tour spoke English. However the guide spent most of his time speaking in French to a gentleman from French Canada who spoke perfectly good English. That left the rest of us out. Not thoughtful or good customer service. He should have stayed with English as advertised.
