Highlights
  • Vermont State House - Our tour begins with a drive to Montpelier, Vermont’s capital city. With a population of just under 8,000, it is the least populous state capital in the United States. There we will tour the Vermont State House* with a dedicated tour guide who will teach us some history and answer any questions that you might have. The Vermont State House is one of the oldest and best preserved of our nation’s state capitols. After 140 years, the State House still commands Montpelier, and the House and Senate chambers remain the oldest legislative chambers in their original condition in the United States.
  • The Vermont State House is closed for visitors on Saturdays and Sundays. Our weekend tours will therefore admire the state house from outside, then explore downtown Montpelier by foot.

Additional Information

Embark on an exciting 7-hour journey, starting with a visit to Montpelier, the heart of Vermont. An expert guide will accompany us for a detailed tour of the Vermont State House, providing fascinating historical insights and answering any queries you may have.

Following this, we will traverse picturesque VT RT 100, en route to the charming villages of Waitsfield and Warren. Our sights will include ‘The Big Eddy’, an 1833 covered bridge, the Appalachian Gap, and the stunning Moss Glen Falls. The option to buy lunch awaits at the Warren Store, an authentic Vermont establishment offering superior local cuisine, along with a deli, bakery, wine shop, and gift store.

This tour, that ranks highly amongst my favorites, offers a rich exposure to Vermont’s history and its inhabitants. The tour strikes the perfect balance between exploring the capital city and admiring the breathtaking countryside and quaint villages of Vermont. With up-close observation of the historic covered bridges, splashing waterfalls, resplendent mountains, and ski resorts, this tour promises a day full of relaxation and pleasure.

Wonderful day in Vermont - We were lucky to have a private tour with Natalia. She is a knowledgeable and friendly tour guide. She took us to all the best places to visit and gave us great recommendations for the other places we intended to visit on our own. Her love for Vermont and passion for her work made for a wonderful day. Thank you Natalia!

First solo trip. - I just got home from taking Vermontology guided tour and couldn't wait to give my review. I spoke to Natalia several times prior to the trip and knew immediately that this was going to be wondferful experience. It was my first solo trip and it was a sucess. Natalia was so informative and knowledgeable. Her personality was infectious and her love for Vermont shined through with every town and attraction we visited. I even asked her does she do any other trips so, I could sign up. My trip to Vermont was magical! Thank you, Natalia.

Father and daughter Vermont day trip - This was the best tour we have been on!! We had a great time traveling through the Vermont countryside. Natalia was so informative about the area. She knew all about the nature and culture of each little town. She personalized our tour to include cheese tasting! We loved every minute. She provided many opportunities to stop for refreshments, snacks, shopping, etc. Lunch was fabulous! My dad and I had the best time.

Another Fantastic Adventure in America - A great tour starts with a comfortable vehicle, and even more important is to have a knowledgeable, friendly guide. We had both. Natalia is very passionate about what she does and because we were the only ones booked that day, me and my big Sis had an exclusive tour, and Natalia was more open to things we wanted to do as then day went along. We were only in Waterbury, VT for one day and I had considered taking the gondola ride to the top of Mount Mansfield (the highest in Vermont) but I am soooo glad that my sister found and booked this trip. I've had many fantastic tour guides in my travels, as well as having given guided tours in Washington, DC myself, so I know a good guide when I have one. Natalia has been added to my list of memorable guides. Me and my sister took a road trip from starting in Boston and we drove through Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine. She later texted me and said that she would have not thought to take a trip like this and was very happy and grateful that I invited her to join her "adventurous" baby brother as she had an excellent time.
