Worthwhile ecology tour! - We thoroughly enjoyed walking the forest with our guide, Marco. He shared a wealth of information on the ecology of the rainforest and the birds, mammals and plants within. He was patient in spotting hidden wildlife and excited with a good sighting. Marco was an excellent guide!

10 out of 10 - Marcos and Susu are an amazing team who have made our multiple trips to Costa Rica outstanding. I will not go birding with anyone but Marcos. His knowledge of birds by sight and sound cannot be matched and he also knows where to find the birds I'm looking for. Susu is excellent in pulling together an itinerary that makes sense for my family. She takes care of all the details so all we need to do is tell her what kind of vacation we want and she'll take care of the rest. Both Marcos and Susu are super friendly and well-connected to the tourist industry in Monteverde and surrounding areas. Language is not an issue as Susu is a native English speaker and Marcos is completely fluent. Together, they are outstanding. 10 out of 10.

Fantastic tour in the cloud forest! - We hired Pasión Costa Rica to introduce us to the cloud forests around Monteverde. Susu provided us good information prior to our trip and helped us reserve a date and time for a private tour. Our guide, Felix, met us at our hotel, he was courteous and very passionate about the flora and fauna of Costa Rica. During the tour, he spotted so many creatures that we would have totally missed had he not been there. I’m in the woods a lot back home in the US, but Felix had an eye and ear for the cloud forest. I bet I would have missed 80-90% of the creatures Felix spotted. Plus, it was helpful to have someone explain a bird call we were hearing, what type of bird it was, and he was quick to spot them. He had exceptional binoculars and spotting scope he let us use when we found the animals. He was also knowledgeable about the plants of Costa Rica, and my children would pick up a random fruit or berry on the ground, ask him what it was, and he would explain what it was, what type of creatures eat it, how it propagates, and so on. He was an encyclopedia. We had a great tour with Felix, and I would 100% recommend Pasión Costa Rica!

Just perfect!!! - Our private guide Steven showed us the beautiful Monteverde Reserve (with Quetzals!) and it was perfect! He was exceptionell! He showed us the Quetzals (both female and male), a Coatí up close, a Colibri‘s nest, some Howler Monkeys, a bicolor Hawk etc. The stunning views and the famous red hanging bridge too. All in all it was the best experience you could dream of. His knowledge was on point and i would recommend booking him without hesitation! It‘s worth it! Thank you so much Sandra and Daniel

Wonderful Hike in Santa Elena Reserve with Jason - We had never been to Monteverde before, so relied on Pasio Costa Rica to pick the best experiences for us. We went on a hike through Santa Elena Reserve with Jason. It was fantastic. We would not have seen all the things we did if we didn’t have a guide. Jason is incredibly knowledgeable about the flora and fauna of the reserve. He spotted many species of birds for us and found an orange-kneed tarantula. He spotted a very rare black and yellow silky flycatcher for us. He also heard a quetzal and did his best to call it to come closer but it didn’t cooperate. It was an unusually clear day in the cloud forest and we had an incredible view from the look-out. Thank you Jason and Pasio Costa Rica for a great afternoon in the reserve!😃🙏👍🏼

fantastic experience - amazing and fun time with Marcos - I can't say enough about how enjoyable our tour with Marcos was. His wife Susu was great to work with in setting it all up ahead of time, and even helped our friends recover sunglasses she left behind. Marcos is from Monteverde, speaks perfect English, is fun, and clearly passionate about the forest and all that lives in it. It was very much a tour at our pace and Marcos was very happy to field all of our questions. We saw a viper high in a tree, a walking stick, hummingbirds, a tarantula, and even a pair of Quetzals. Marcos helped us take pictures with our phones through the telescope he brings so we have good pictures we wouldn't otherwise have been able to get in the relatively dim light. And wait until you hear Marcos's bird calls! A fantastic time highly recommended.

Such a great way to visit the Cloud forest - highly recommend - We booked the day + night tour, and it was definitely the right decision. Marcos was an incredible guide - knowledgeable about not just the flora and fauna, but also shared about the local history of the region and warm and welcoming as they come. We saw all sorts of creatures out there we didn't think we'd spot, many thanks to Marcos's keen eye, and his genuine desire to have us see as much of the unique biodiversity of the region as we could fit in. Also - the dinner snack was more like a full meal, and actually ended up being one of our favorite meals across the entire week we spent in Costa Rica. :) Highly recommend - thank you Susu and Marcos!

We had an excellent... - We had an excellent experience with our guide Marcos. He was incredibly passionate and knowledgeable about not only the mammals but the birds, the trees, the ecosystem, the botany... a wide range of knowledge. He was clearly passionate about what he does, easy to talk to, very accommodating and took extra time to make sure that we had a peak experience. We would recommend him highly.
