Johnny was a wonderful guide - Johnny was such a wonderful guide. He is so knowledgeable & charismatic. On my trip, we saw a few snakes, two tiny frogs, some super cool bugs, a tarantula, & a kinkajou. Kind of sad we didn’t see any sloths but nature is just unpredictable like that. Also just to clarify, the price that you pay is for the guide, not to enter the park. That is an additional $13 that you pay when you arrive. Getting a guide was so worth it though because we would not have been able to spot any of what we did without him.

Great night tour experience in the forest - This was an amazing night tour! We really enjoyed this experience and we saw so many different animals. We particularly enjoyed seeing sloths, toucans, scorpions, armadillo, red eye frog, porcupine, green pit viper, kinkajou and olingo. I guess we were unlucky with the night of the tour, as it was quite crowded. But our guide assured us that this was an exception.

Johnny was a fantastic guide and his tour was the highlight of our trip! - Johnny was a fantastic guide, with a great sense of humour. We enjoyed both his jokes and excellent knowledge of the animals we were viewing. He took the time to be patient with the younger children in our group; ensuring their experience was as great as ours. He worked hard to find the sloths, snakes and spiders; that our group was most interested in viewing. So far, it’s been the highlight of our trip!

Nashvillian’s take on Costa Rica - Johnny was a great guide. We had a private tour where we saw frogs, tarantula, viper and a sloth. I loved Johnny’s energy and enthusiasm for nature.

Nice tour - First of all, for whatever reason our guide did not show up that day, but the nice people organizing the tour were able to fit us in with another group, so props to them. Nice tour, we were able to see a few birds, a sloth, a viper, tarantulas and a few insects. Except for the insects though we were able to see those animals much better during a bird watching tour we did the day previously. So while this was a nice tour, if you want to save some money, just do bird watching during the day instead.

Avoid this Fake experience - The entire thing was fake. The only moving animal during the entire walk was a sloth. The guide would just stop and start his scope and he would then show us an animal. There was no rhyme or reason as to how he found an animal at that place. Looking at the previous reviews revealed that they were showing all of us the same animals - sloth, red eyed frog, tarantula. Avoid this scam. We also did not like the fact that the guide kept the lights ON the sloth all the time.
