Time very well spent in Cannery Row - Our Cannery Row walk with guide Tom was fun, informative, and relaxed. He deployed decades of familiarity with the area, alongside a deep knowledge of the canneries and how John Steinbeck intersected with that world. We left the tour with much more context and still more trailheads to pursue.

Top-Notch Tour and Inside Info about Cannery Row with Tom - We had the pleasure of touring Cannery Row with Tom. Tom has lived in the area for many years and knew a tremendous amount about the history and the insider info. From the moment we met him, it was clear that Tom is not only incredibly knowledgeable about the area but also genuinely passionate about sharing its history, and hidden gems about the area, Steinbeck, and the book Cannery Row. Would be a good idea to read the book if you haven’t. Well worth it. Thanks Tom.

Great Cannery Row tour! - The Cannery Row walking tour by the Original Monterey Walking Tours was great! Guide Shirley was full of amazing facts and information about the Cannery history, John Steinbeck, and the culture of area during the cannery heyday. I teamed this tour with the Discover the Real Monterey history walking tour. Both were wonderful and I would do them both again.

Cannery Row - History & Stories - Shirley led a fun and informative tour of Cannery Row—many sites we would not have seen on our own or history/facts/stories we would not have known…quite enjoyable!

Historical presentation of Cannery Row and John Steinbeck - Only issue we had was meeting our guide because the confirmation I received only had an address which covers a very large building. Should have also included "at the plaza." Otherwise very informative.
