Beautiful bike tour - Great bike path. Bikes were fine. They confirmed Reservations and were ready and fully charged. Recommend !

Fabulous fun overall, but… - Absolutely loved the ebikes ride along the 17 mile drive. Excellent! The only slight negative was the lack of service in the shop. The 4 of us (all seniors) are not particularly tech savvy and it took us close to 15 minutes to fill out the necessary paperwork online (not easy for any of us) and figure out which bike helmet to use. The instructions from the shop person was “ they’re over there, just pick one out that fits.” He could have more easily just handed us helmets he knew we needed (size-wise), rather than realizing we just wanted to “get this show on the road,” and not the additional frustration trying on various helmets. Then the second helper we were passed off to spoke so fast that we were left scratching our heads as to how to get started. We could also have used water bottle holders on the bikes instead of the little Fanny pack-sized thing that was the only way to hold our extra items (sweaters, wallets, sunscreen, etc.). We would definitely do this again, but we all decided next time we would probably try the competition down the street instead. EXCEPT, the young girl in the the shop was SO SWEET and helpful… but it was time for her lunch break, and we got passed on to the guys. Still totally fun and we recommend doing it… just a couple of tweeks.

GREAT WAY TO EXPLORE 17 MILE SCENIC DRIVE - Staff was wonderful and the electric bikes were a fantastic way to explore the 17 mile scenic drive. We were able to stop when we wanted and explore - Adventures provided us with bike locks so we didn't have to worry about the bikes while we looked around. I was worried about my 70 year old sister we took with us, but the bikes were so easy she did great. Cars are very respectful to the bike riders. We had a fantastic time!

Wonderful E-Bike Experience - We had a great time renting e-bikes and riding the gorgeous Monterey-Pacific Grove coastal trail. This convenient rental location near Fisherman’s Wharf has friendly efficient staff and high quality e-bikes. We reserved and prepaid a few weeks ahead and the bikes were all set when we arrived. We were given a safety briefing and off we went. E-bikes are fantastic! You can pedal as much as you like.

Does what it says on the tin - Hired an electric bike. Booking and collection very straight forward. Staff were efficient and informative. 17 mile drive is beautiful, the shop is right on the route in Cannery Row. Bikes work well.

Great riding experience - I rented an electric bike for half day and thoroughly enjoyed it. I rode for about 3 hours total and wasn't even tired. The adjustable pedal assist was great. They even give you a cable and lock if you want to stop and eat or shop on your ride. And there are so many great scenic places to ride. I highly recommend a least a half day ride.

Great staff, not crazy about the ebikes - My second time renting from ABTS. The staff is always awesome but I didn't care for the newer smaller ebikes they switched to and have now. Last time we rented the regular size GenZe ebikes (which are still shown on the website) and they were great. They This time they had Pedigo ebikes that are much smaller. I normally ride road bikes so didn't care for the smaller size. They were uncomfortable for me and impossible to maintain a steady speed slower than what is pre-programmed. They max out at whatever speed selection you are in and there is no in between. For example, if you're on speed setting 3, it wants to be at 17mph no matter how hard or soft you pedal. Throttle is like that too. Not good if you're in a group with other brands of bikes. Although I really like the employees and they are super helpful (Madison is great!), I'll probably find another rental place that has the full size bikes next time. If ABTS changes bike styles back to the full size in the future, they will be my first stop again.
