It's to die for - We really enjoyed learning about the history of Rose HallGreat House and Garden. We had a tour guide named Latoya. She was very well spoken and has a sense of humor. Latoya was well knowledgeable about the history of the House and Garden. I recommend everyone to go visit. The history has a lot of twists and turns and the climax is to die for. That's the only clue I will give you. Have all and be safe

Entertaining - The tour guide can make or break an experience. Ours was really good. I forget her name but I remember her saying her dad is black, mum is Indian so she's mixed (only mentioning this to aid identification in case you get to choose your guide. I think her name starts with a D) I wasn't expecting a lot from this tour, but it ended up being pretty good. It takes about an hour

Awesome tour. - We had a great time on the tour. Our guide was Dalits, she was awesome! She told us all about the house which pieces of furniture were originally in the house. Talked about the White Witch and all the men she killed. The grounds are beautiful as is the view to the ocean. Dalits sang us a song at the end that Johnny Cash wrote about the witch. Johnny Cash had a home close to the property and helped find furniture from the house. The tour took about one hour.

Amazing! - I’ve seen so many shows on Rose Hall and it’s horrific history. The tour guide was great and very informative. Even my husband who doesn’t normally care for this kind of thing LOVED it! We comfy shoes!

Worth your time! - We went to Rose Hall and got a daytime tour which was very informative and even my husband who isn’t into historical places enjoyed it. Also captured some spooky images in photos throughout the house. Truly a gorgeous property with an awful past.

If you like ghost stories.... - It was an interesting tour with a well prepared guide. The horror stories were explained well. We had few spare hours to spend that day instead of staying on the beach, and it turned out to be a good trip.

Your Guide can make all the difference! - We bought our tickets online (USD$23) and when we arrived for our 11:15am tour, things seemed a little disorganised at first. There are no clear directions on what customers with online tickets should do on arrival, so be patient and have your printed ticket(s) as a precaution. Firstly, we arrived on time and I tried to give the gentleman in the office our printed ticket document, thinking it would save time (i.e. skip the line for ticket purchase, right?). He barely looked at the document and told me he wasn't selling tickets, even though I gave him the printed document indicating we'd purchased our tickets online. After I pointed this out, he clarified he wasn't giving out arm bands because they only allow a certain amount of people in a group. We were instructed to stand aside, and we eventually realised that we had to wait to join another group. About two or three persons who appeared to be working there helped us, and another couple who came after us, join a group (they were being formed in a rather ad-hoc manner). The way it all happened displayed a somewhat organised chaos, because no one was explaining anything to us; we just noted the man in the office suddenly took our ticket, issued us wrist bands, and someone else pointed us to a group. Our guide, Sancha, was quite simply a great storyteller. Rose Hall Great House is already an interesting place, but her delivery of its history made the tour worth the trip (and her tip at the end of everything). There was a photographer waiting at the steps going up to the house. It's optional of course and at the time of this review cost USD$12 with the frame. So, get your tickets, bring your patience and some extra $$ to tip the guide and, if you wish, get the photo at the end of the tour.

History tour - History of the old plantations here at the Rose House. A nice tour to see the old mansion and grounds. Our guide was very knowledgeable but sometimes hard to hear with the noisy floor boards throughout the house.
