A Lovely Adventure!!! - Our tour guide, Flor, was really nice and gave us fun tidbits as we were driving around. There was a lot more to the tour than we were expecting! There was a presentation after the monkey visit where they showed us how they make traditional Dominican coffee and hot chocolate and we even got to try both. They also took us to this other shop where we saw how cigars were made. After the zipline we were even given a full meal! I really thought we were seeing monkeys and doing zip lines and that was it but it ended up being so much more than that which was a lovely surprise!

Monkeys and zip lines were awesome! - The squirrel monkeys were the highlight of the trip. We got to feed them and have them climb all over us multiple times and it was a blast. Our guides on the zip lines were funny and there are a few decent lines but make sure you wear comfortable shorts, Otherwise the harness might hurt. We also got to see some hot cocoa and coffee-making demonstrations and got to see some native homes. The Buffet style lunch had some really good chicken and rice.

SO FUN! - This visit was SO MUCH FUN! We were allowed into the spider monkey enclosure, where we sat down and were given food to feed the monkeys. They also tossed sunflower seeds in our laps and on our heads, and we were swarmed by monkeys, sometimes with four or five on us at a time. The monkeys were adorable, and we could have spent hours here without getting tired of them. The ziplines were okay, we've done lines that were much higher and faster, but we had fun. One novelty occurred when one of the lines wasn't steep enough for you to reach the end of the line and a guy on a horse came galloping out of nowhere and grabbed my foot to take me to the end. So ziplines were nothing special, but the monkeys more than made up for it!

SUCH A GREAT VALUE FOR ALL THATS INCLUDED! - We got plenty of time with the Monkeys! They we SO CUTE! I didn't want to go to the demonstration but it ended up being my friends fabirite part! She loved the hot cocoa that was made from Cacao. We enjoyed the ziplining and the staff. Everyone was so helpful and friendly. The best part? LUNCH WAS INCLUDED in the price! This was such a fun day and its worth it to add on ziplining to Monkeyland. We still go back to our resort with plenty of time in the day to swim at the beach and in the pools. I'd go again in a heartbeat!

Kind of blah - The monkeys were amazing ('cause when are monkeys not??), but the experience was lacking as you are only allowed to sit and not really interact in any way...the ziplining was...ziplining...the area was pretty clear-cut, so you were ziplining over trenches, basically, not jungle or forests as we presumed

Don’t waste your time and money on this unless… - The good: the squirrel monkeys are cute, the guides throw food on you so they climbed all over you. The zip line was decent compared to others I did. One long one (870 yards), took 2 hours. The bad: first one is on me: I thought I was booking Monkey jungle 15 min from Cabarete, realized once we got there is was Monkeyland on the other side of puerto Plata. If you are staying in Cabarete do NOT book this tour: 3 hours to get there, 1hr40” to come back!!! You spent ~ 30 min either the monkeys, for some that my feel enough, but it felt short especially since it ended up being a 10 hr your door to door. The monkeys are in a cage. Not a small enclosure but still small for tens of Monkeys spending their life there. I do not support that kind of treatment. Note that the Monkeys are not native, they are imported. Every step of the way they try to upsell you: pictures package $80!!! (Take your own as much as they let you), shops, artisans, drinks at lunch, etc… photograph was very much insisting, even after a single mother told him why she couldn’t afford it. Be ready for the monkeys to pee and poop on you - not good from a sanitary standpoint. The ugly: the truck is uncomfortable so our back hurts and the gasoline smell was very strong, now we have such a bad headache. The lucky: I would say it was a total waste of a day of vacation, but at least it was rainy in Cabarete and we got lucky that the rain stopped in Puerto plata when we did the zip line and again for the Monkeys! If you are in Puerto Plata, have kids and have never done zip line or approached monkeys, then not a bad options. Otherwise we do not recommend. Our guide Cornelius tried his best. This review does not reflect on him.

It was 10+hours of tours,... - It was 10+hours of tours, and about half of the time(2.5hours each way) were just for stopping at other hotels to pick up other guests. The logistics was really badly designed. Full of the guests were packed in the open air truck, not comfortable at all for the long ride. Tour itself wasn’t bad, the tour guide and the driver and all other staff were kind and tried to provide us good time, however the long ride ruined everything.
