Our tour commences at 4:30 am with a pickup from your accommodating hotel, followed by a drive to the village of Mollepata where we’ll enjoy breakfast.
- Humantay Lake -
Next, we’ll proceed with our excursion, admiring stunning vistas along our hike to Soraypampa. Here, we’ll start our trek to the Humantay lagoon, situated at an elevation of 4,250 meters above sea level.
The hike to the lagoon takes roughly one and a half hours. Upon arrival at Humantay, you’ll have ample opportunity to take in the breathtaking natural splendor. We’ll witness a ritual offering to the sacred Apus, and you’re invited to partake in this experience.
Afterward, we’ll make our way back down to Soraypampa to board our bus to Mollepata, where a savory lunch awaits us. Finally, we’ll head back to the majestic city of Cusco, with an estimated return time of 5:00 pm.

Great - Wally was an amazing and helpful guide. Who helped us to get to humantey lake by recommending horses and bike ride as we were struggling with altitude sickness. He was guiding us all the way from starting of the tour to ending point.

Great views, great tour! - The tour was organized professionally, with pick up, then breakfast, then the hike and then lunch and drop off in Cusco again. The breakfast and lunch were pretty good! The hike itself was quite challenging as it is very steep and of course because of the high altitude, but totally worth the amazing views you get on top. You can also choose to rent a horse to take you up but we decided to walk. Take breaks and you will be fine :) special thanks to our amazing tour guide José, he was very funny and energetic and he told us interesting facts about Humantay and Inca culture! We totally recommend this tour (even if you are not in the best shape since you can rent a horse)

Gorgeous lake! - The lake is absolutely gorgeous! Our tour guide Robinson was also great, always pushing us to complete this very difficult hike. The road to get to the top of the mountain is quite narrow and scary but the driver was very safe and professional. Unfortunately we come from sea level so we took very long to get to the lake therefore, we only had little time to spend there. Overall would recommend!

Wally is the best! - I could not recommend this tour more. Our group had been separated due to separate bookings and Wally made sure that we were all together in the same group by taking in extra group members so we could be together. We stopped at the most beautiful lookout place for breakfast and lunch, the views were incredible! Wally made the sacred offering very special and meaningful, took wonderful pictures of our group in front of the beautiful lake, and explained so many interesting aspects of the lake to us. Wally made this experience unforgettable and our experience definitely would not have been the same without him. He helped us take horses up to the top because we were worried about the altitude, it was 80 soles and so worth it, it was surreal! We enjoyed this tour and loved Wally so much we booked rainbow mountain with him for the next day. 10/10 recommend Wally for Lake Humantay!!!

Must See in Peru- Wonderful Tour Guide: Wally! - This is a must see in Peru! We were picked up by our tour guide Wally from our hotel and drove 2 hours before stopping for a wonderful breakfast with a view. We drove another hour into the mountains before arriving at Humantay and riding the horses up the hill (I recommend this as the hike up is difficult). Wally took our photos, directed us, told us the historic importance of the site, and was overall a GREAT guide. If you have the pleasure of having (Super) Wally as your guide, you are in for a treat. He is amazing, kind, and always positive. Thanks Wally for a wonderful time!

Humantay Lake Guided Tour with Wally - Our tour with Wally was amazing. Wally went above and beyond our expectations to ensure we had an excellent visit to Humantay Lake. We were in a group of both Spanish and English speaking individuals and Wally’s English was fantastic. I could not recommend this tour enough. Bravo & Siempre Positivo!!

Amazing experience, great value! - One of the best day trips I have done! Beautiful views all the way along the hike - be aware that the altitude is high and a good level of fitness is needed - but the stunning humantay lake at the summit is well worth it!. Our guide Robinson was very friendly and informative. The meals provided had an amazing range (including for vegetarians) and were very filling. Great value and fantastic experience overall.

Humantay Lagoon with Chullos Travel - Phew, a job to climb but it's worth it!
The experience with the agency was complete: pickup, breakfast, lunch, guide and return to the center of Cusco. Our guide (Robinson) was very friendly and considerate of the entire group. I recommend them.
