- Hampton Court Palace - This tour is for those particularly interested in the detail of the Tudor Palace rather than Baroque.
We will walk in the footsteps of the Tudor kings and queens, following the stories, life and loves of the notorious Henry VIII, his children and his six wives; Katherine of Aragon, Anne Boleyn, Jane Seymour, Anne of Cleve, Catherine Howard and Kathryn Parr.
I will show you the magnificent State Apartments, Tudor kitchens, wine cellars, and beautiful Tudor Pond Garden.
As a trained storyteller I will bring alive the characters from the past, the tales of mistresses, betrayals and the ghosts that haunt the galleries. The cost of my tour covers a private group of up to 15 people for 2 hours, by prior arrangement I can accommodate more guests and increase the length of the tour.

This excursion is designed for those curious about delving into the Tudor era of the 16th century at Hampton Court Palace. Participants will get an in-depth view of the reign and lives of Henry VIII, his six spouses, and offspring. The tour guide, Sarah, otherwise known as the Hampton Court Guide, will vividly narrate tales of seductions, deceits, and spectral apparitions that persist in the corridors. She gained intimate knowledge of the palace, having been an employee since 2008. As a certified guide and raconteur belonging to the Institute of Tourist Guiding and the British Guild of Tourist Guides, she holds a White Badge from Hampton Court Palace and a Blue Badge for Southern England. The tour commences at the Gatehouse where participants will learn about Henry VIII’s accession to the throne as well as the palace’s founders. The journey continues through the courtyards to the Tudor Kitchens and wine cellar where participants will learn about the lives and tasks of the palace’s staff. The tour then transitions to the upper floors where we follow the path once tread by monarchs, passing through grand state apartments, surveying artworks, and deliberating historical conspiracies. Entrance fees are not included.
