Great trip and lots of dolphins! - I would repeat it without a doubt.

Great! - This was definitely worth it! Beautiful trip, the dolphins were in good spirits and showed themselves well! Also seen many flying fish. Friendly crew who regularly checked in to see if everything was okay with the children and even guided my daughter to a spot with a better view. If you are quickly nauseous or have no sea legs, do not do this! Swim stop is not included contrary to what the description says.

Dolphin Display 🐬 - We absolutely loved Spirit of the Seas! 🐬 We went not expecting to see much, so we were completely blown away by the most fantastic display of dolphins, along with a couple of turtles — memories we’ll treasure for a lifetime! ❤️ Being collected near our accommodation made everything so easy from start to finish, and we even had the option to head for a swim just before coming back.An amazing experience that we would highly recommend! 🌊🐢🐬

100% recommended experience. Very well organized with a special mention to the crew. - We did the sighting last Monday 08/17. We caught a wonderful day! and we were lucky enough to see many dolphins, a wonderful experience. Also flying fish. The crew, exceptional. Very pleasant and they explained everything related to the dolphins to us. My children were delighted. I recommend it 100%. The perfect boat, with no feeling of being overwhelmed by people and very well organized.

Unforgettable experience to see real dolphins in the sea. - We had booked the 10:30 AM tour. We were supposed to be picked up from the hotel (in Maspalomas) at 9:25 AM. The large tour bus was about 20 min late, but we were in Puerto Rico at the harbor on time. When getting off the bus, you should hurry, as the check-in before the boat takes some time and you get the better seats the sooner you are on board. We sat on the lower deck on one of the sides where you can hold on well. You should encourage children traveling with you to hold on to the boat at all times! It gets quite rocky at times on the trip. I was not in the mood for walking around on board or even having drinks. The boat feels like it gets quite fast. We had a fairly calm trip with wonderful weather, but the swell was still considerable. After a good hour of sailing, we actually spotted dolphins! A truly beautiful spectacle. So wonderful to see them in their natural environment. There were two other boats on site that were observing the same group of dolphins. I think something like this must mean some stress for the animals. However, the crew turned off the engine when the dolphins were spotted and also informed all the guests. I found the announcements on board hard to understand. There is a recorded text with some information in Spanish, English, German, and Dutch. The observation time was naturally much too short; I think after about 10 minutes they turned away again. It seemed to me as if they had followed the rules for observing marine mammals. We also saw lots of flying fish and a turtle on the trip, but we were not pointed out to them. I would have liked a little more information here, perhaps also in advance as a video on the website, about what it looks like. I had really never seen flying fish before and thought it was a real spectacle. On the way back, shortly before the harbor, the pictures taken previously were offered for sale. For this, a small dinghy came specially from the harbor to the boat, and the photographer transferred to the boat at full speed on the open sea, wow! In retrospect, I would have preferred to have the photos taken as a souvenir. Even if the sea seems calm and you notice little swell during the trip, the boat only gets really rocky when the engine is turned off. That limits the possibilities for taking nice photos somewhat. Many people also got sick at that spot; you should be prepared for this. We had a really nice Atlantic swell, from diagonally in front, which made the boat pitch up and down. Tip: definitely pack sunscreen, possibly a windbreaker / sweater, headgear for protection against the sun from above, and sunglasses! We had good tips for nausea: a light breakfast with a green apple 🍏, constantly watching the horizon on board, and Nauserina gummy drops to suck on from the local pharmacy shop in Maspalomas (contains ginger extract, suitable for children and adults), of which I took one when boarding and then every 15-30 minutes. Although two out of three in our family suffer from motion sickness on the bus, none of us had any problems with seasickness because of this! However, there were some passengers on board who had to vomit, and they were helped by the crew. Overall, an unforgettable experience to see dolphins in the ocean once in a lifetime!

Ok to waste few hours - Coach driver rude over booked. Boat seen better days seats broken. Staff was lovely saw two dolphines but boat was over crowded. Could go for swim if want to.

Could be better - I was with my husband. The boat drive very fast through waves, so boat was jumping up and down, from side to side. If you are not good with vestibular, it’s not for you. I was more annoyed about people, whose who think that they are better then others, because, we were sitting at the front, but because of the waves I couldn’t stand on the boat, to come closer to see dolphins ( I am pregnant) I was very careful. One family with friends just stand all in front of us on the boat, and totally took out the view of the dolphins. That was pretty sad. We could see a just little bit. Some people were seaseak, feeling quite bad. I was very concentrating on not to throw up. Despite people, the crew were very good, offered help. I was very happy then the trip has finished 🤪. Catastrophic tour - Worst experience ever. Extremely rough sea, strong waves, strong wind - 20% of the passengers threw up and were pale, some were afraid that we would capsize out on the sea. It was really very rough and at times you had to hold on to the boat with all your might. There were no whales/dolphins, but the organizer can't help that - free vouchers for a second date were offered, but wild horses couldn't get us back on this boat. They should never have gone out that far in this weather / wind. Most people just wanted to go home; it had long since ceased to be about whales or dolphins. Unbelievable that we even paid money for this. We had the feeling that the lives of all participants (including children) were negligently put at risk here just to earn a few euros.

Not for people who experience motion sickness - The staff on this trip were friendly and helpful. However, many of the passengers on board including myself and my girlfriend felt terribly seasick due to the rough/choppy ocean/small boat. If you are prone to motion sickness, this is not a suitable experience for you at all. I had taken anti-motion sickness tablets before hand also and it did not help. I found myself hoping for the trip to end as I fought off nausea and sickness. Staff did hand out sick bags to help though. Added to this we didn't see anything on our trip in the way of dolphins, whales, wildlife, etc. This obviously can't be helped but only added to the poor experience. We were offered a return voucher due to the lack of sightings but turned this down due to the severe sea sickness we experienced. If you are prone to motion sickness do not go on this excursion, trust me. My girlfriend also doesn't really experience motion sickness, but was quite ill on this trip, so even if you don't experience motion sickness, consider carefully whether you can deal with a very rough journey and possibly have nothing to show for it.

Spirt of sea disaster trip - Horrible experience from start to finish—avoid this trip! ​We booked a dolphin-watching trip expecting a smooth and enjoyable experience, but it was a complete nightmare. ​Misleading Pickup: The website advertised free nearby hotel pickups, but after booking, we were emailed and told they couldn’t pick us up. ​Rude Customer Service: Upon arriving at the harbor, the lady at the front entrance for Spirit of the Sea was unwelcoming and extremely rude. ​No Reserved Seating & Unhelpful Staff: Despite reserving family seating together, there were no free seats when we boarded. We asked a senior staff member (an older gentleman with a beard) for help, but since no staff wore name badges, he simply fobbed us off and walked away. Thankfully, a kind couple offered us their seats in the middle of the boat. ​Dangerous & Unsafe Conditions: The journey was violently rough, with the boat tossing constantly. Water kept splashing in, and there were no visible life jackets or safety measures. When my partner went near the edge to see the dolphins, she nearly fell overboard. Later, when I stood up during a sudden lurch, my daughter hurt her hand. The motion was so severe that we couldn't even reach the snack bar to get water. ​Widespread Seasickness & Poor Communication: Nearly everyone on board became violently ill, including my young daughter. Staff simply handed out sick bags and offered no real assistance. Most of the crew spoke very little English and even made light of the situation, jokingly telling passengers to go for a swim in the deep sea. ​This trip was a total waste of money, completely unsafe, and deeply disappointing. I would strongly advise families to look elsewhere.
