Along the path we will interpretate the landscape of the Natural Park of Sierra Alhama, Tejeda and Almijara: its geology, the animals, plants…We’ll stop at the most beautiful view points to take pictures.

Once in the river, we will do a picnic and we will take a bath in the crystalline water of the river (not in winter).

Highly recommended experience! - This was a great vacation experience! I was part of a small group including hikers from Romania and Brazil. We had wonderful conversations, learning about each other and our countries—an unexpected bonus! We hiked up through a white city with Alphonso providing the history of the area and its agriculture. We then followed the path of an ancient aqueduct back into the mountains. Alphonso was knowledgeable of the flora, fauna and geology. It was a great hike to a mountain waterfall and swimming hole, where a picnic was provided. I highly recommend this hike and any other by Malaga Activa!

My favorite Malaga day! - This was a fantastic tour in every way! Alfonso was knowledgeable of the history, geology, flora and fauna of the area. From walking through the white city to hiking up the canyon, the scenery was breathtaking. Alfonso introduced us to wild herbs and mountain goats, wHike tending the needs of the each in the group. We had a very international group, which was in itself a rich experience to share stories and get to know one another while on our trek. I highly recommend all of Malaga Activa’s tours snd look forward to returning for another. Becky

Stunning - What a spectacular place to visit! The views are breathtaking & the hike into the canyon is brilliant. We were kept informed about the area & history from our guide. Some parts are a little bit scary if you suffer from vertigo but our guide was very patient & gave clear advice throughout. This is an amazing hike.

A beautiful afternoon. - It is difficult to choose a favorite part. The hike was well-chosen. The views were spectacular! And Alfonso was a very knowledgeable guide, and extremely helpful and friendly. The stop at the local pub was very charming! I highly recommend this experience. This was all pre-covid so I can not comment on the covid measures.

Amazing tour! - I visited my sister in Malaga and we decided to do this tour together. We were a small group with other really friendly people. The hike had the perfect length and Alfonso was a super friendly guide who organized everything pretty well. He can tell you a lot about the region and is also in touch with the local people there. Our highlight was the swimming in the waterfall pool. I would recommend this tour to everyone, it was beyond perfect! Greetings, Julia & Vanessa

Simply wonderful - If you are interested in a nice hike in beautiful environment this is a must do. Alfonso made us feel comfortable; could tell us a lot about the scenery. and at the stop you have an opportunity to have a dip in lovely cool water. I wouldn't miss this when you are in Malaga. A nice hike, not to demanding; well organised.

Disappointed - We left it was raining. It continued to rain. The streets were like rivers. Get to the top of the town and then cancels. Should have canceled before it started. Cost me 30 euros by taxi just to the meeting point. I wish it was sunny so no idea if it was good or bad hike.

Trip cancelled by host last minute - We booked the El Saltillo trip for a friends birthday (3 of us) as a surprise. The trip was cancelled with <24 hours notice (after we had to message the host to see if it was running), due to not having the minimum number of people (6), there was no mention of this being a possibility on the website. One star for a prompt refund being given but very disappointed given the lack of communication and the stress this has caused with having to replan with such little notice.
