Beautiful landscapes - This excursion allowed us to see the most beautiful corners of the Iya Valley. Through winding and narrow paths, we were able to easily admire the best corners. Of course, the ivy bridges remain the highlight of the excursion, but the whole walk is beautiful. Thanks to our driver (unfortunately I forgot his name, not having written my review close enough to the activity). Although we were told that he would not speak much English, he was really very good at English and knew how to guide us throughout this tour. Thanks again.

Friendly, Helpful, and Memorable Taxi Tour - We had a wonderful tour with our taxi driver. He was very friendly and helpful, answering all our questions and even going back to retrieve the wallet I had forgotten. He also took plenty of pictures for us and drove us to a great place for lunch, making sure to find somewhere that could accommodate my allergies. He carried a portable translator to explain each spot, but even without it, we could ask him about life in the valley and he happily answered. Overall, it was a very good and memorable experience. ありがとうございました。

Our driver Higashi was fabulous - We only really wanted to visit Nagaro the Scarecrow village & we're worried we'd miss the bus. But this whole trip was amazing & well worth the cost. Our driver Higashi was absolutely wonderful. He took us to lots of different places, didn't rush us or hurry us along and made sure we were happy & comfortable the whole time. A lot of the roads are extremely narrow & you really have to know where you're going so driving ourselves would have been nearly impossible. I'd highly recommend this to anyone who wants to enjoy the Iya Valley.

Beautiful places, careful and helpful driver - The tour was simply PERFECT! Higashi-san was very very kind and careful. As a local, he explained a lot about the places we went (including the nature, history and community). He was very careful with my 87-year-old grandma. Also, all the places we went, including the soba we had for lunch, were amazing!!

Private tour of Iya Valley highlights - Our driver arrived promptly and paced the tour perfectly so that we got to see all the points of interest and had enough time to appreciate each one. The scenery in Iya Valley is spectacular, and the fall foliage enhanced the beauty of this place. Our driver strongly advised a tea break at a small cafe by the vine bridge, and the tea and pastries were delicious.

This was the day we were... - This was the day we were most looking forward to on our trip and it did not disappoint. Our guide did not speak any English but came prepared with a nifty electronic translator. He was an exceptional driver as well - I could not imagine navigating the winding roads myself. We got our fill of the beautiful scenery, the vine bridges, and lunch at a traditional soba restaurant. This is a must-see area!

Very enjoyable tour around Iya Valley - Higashi was an excellent host and driver for our Iya Valley tour. He collected us with our luggage and discussed the itinerary before setting off. He is an excellent driver and the car was spotless. We stopped at two lookout points, enjoyed a quiet river Cruise and travelled to the twin vine bridges stopping off to see the town of scarecrows on the way. The vine bridges were fun to cross. Then we headed back for an enjoyable coffee at the single vine brudge, returning to our destination by our agreed time. It was a pleasure travelling with Higashi and we highly recommend the tour.
