Fabulous experience - Great whale, dolphin and turtle spotting experience. Wonderful staff and an excellent, clean boat. We had a whale of a time :)

BLUE WHALE SPOTTING ♥️🐋 - Very Friendly Staff and they took their own time explaining each and everything. Was very lucky to spot many Blue whales including one tail up as well. Great Thrilling Experience 💯 Photos taken from my Phone has been attached.

See the Largest living animal with a brilliant and hard working crew. - Fantastic Trip. Kusha and his crew went way above and beyond to ensure we saw the whales. I have been whale watching before and new that it was a bit hit and miss. I also new we weren’t in peak whale watching season. But this was a chance to see BLUE WHALES- the biggest creatures on Earth.The trip was advertised as being about 3 hours long. So when 2 hours had gone by and we hadn’t seen a whale I thought it was all over- allowing time for the trip back. I thought they’re bound to turn back soon but still we motored on.Shortly afterwards the crew spotted avwhale for the first time and we started to make our way over to it. They only stay on the surface for a couple of minutes then dive for 15 minutes. The crew patiently circled the boat and we were able to get closer and see more of the whale during a further 3 surfacings culminating in a beautiful flip of the tail as it dived on our last viewing. A perfect way to end the morning. All this effort was made for a boat with less than 20 customers, going in the off season well aware that their chances of success were much slimmer than usual. I don’t think any of us would have complained if they had turned back without us seeing anything. It wouldn’t have been their fault. But they didn’t. They persisted and as a result all on board had a day to remember for the rest of their lives. The boat was modern and comfortable. Kusha shared the rather steadier videos he had shot of the whales we saw. All in all I’m very impressed with Chaminda Whale watching. If seeing the largest creature on Earth is on your itinerary then this is the way to do it

Tourist trap!!! Don't book!! - The regular price for the whale and dolphin tour is $60. We specifically asked in advance whether it was possible to pay by credit card. This was possible, but after paying we discovered that $78 had been debited from our credit card statement instead of the agreed $60. When we asked, we were told that it was an extra 18% for registration and bank fees. That would have been excessive. But $18 extra is not $18, it is 30%. Even after asking several times and discussing things in the company office, we did not get a constructive explanation, let alone our money back. Absolutely a rip-off. Definitely not recommended.

Tourist rip-off!! Stay away! - We only saw a few dolphins and a fin whale for a short time. If you can call that "seen". The boat was pretty full and at the first sign of a whale everyone ran to one side so that hardly anyone could see anything. But that wasn't my biggest problem with this tour. We paid for our tickets with a card. We later saw on our credit card statement that almost 30% more had been charged than agreed. When we asked the responsible employees about it, we received contradictory statements. Some told us it was a government fee (which apparently isn't due when paying in cash), others told us it was a bank fee. After a long discussion, the responsible employees became very exhausted and angry. We also tried to get an adequate explanation for the outrageous additional fee in the company's office. But no chance. I can only advise everyone not to book a tour with this company. So far, the biggest tourist rip-off I've experienced.
