Additional Information

Take a journey back in time with an enchanting expedition to ancient Peru where we’ll explore a highly significant oracle from the era of the Incas. This striking archaeological site remains a hallowed ground for many indigenous residents today. In antiquity, people flocked to Pachacamac to express their gratitude to the creator deity (Pachacamac) for bountiful harvests, favorable weather, and water supplies. They also sought answers to their queries. Pachacamac served as a centre for advanced studies in fields such as astronomy and architecture, and a venue for primitive rituals and human offerings as recompense to Mother Earth. Large-scale festivities were held in reverence of the deities. Experience the rich past and culture of Pachacamac for yourself!

The tour was excellent... - The tour was excellent overall! We were picked up precisely on time at our location, our guide Aura was fabulous and very informative, and we enjoyed our time learning about Pachacamac. The actual site was much larger than I expected. Make sure to bring sunscreen, and reapply it while you are there, as there is zero shade and it is hot most of the year. Would go again!

Pachacámac tour must see before Machu Picchu - Leonardo was extremely knowledgeable about the Lima, pre-Inca, and Inca cultures. He explained what we were seeing as we walked through the ruins and museum. Would recommend this before heading to Machu Picchu. Our driver was amazing too!

An amazing place to visit in Lima! - Pachacamac is an amazing place to visit! A piece of living history 40min by car from Miraflores. Our tour guide, César, was the best guide we had during our trip to Peru! If you have a chance, ask for him. He knows every thing about Pachacamac and explained It to us like a excited history teacher! He also gave us real good recommendations on where to go and what to eat (even dropped us there).

Amazing time, very informative. - I had a private tour, was the only person. This was the second tour I did with this company, and specifically Aura. Both tours were amazing, she was very passionate about sharing her knowledge of her country and the various sites (not just the pyramids but all the historic sites from the prior day). I highly recommend doing this tour, and others with this company.

Amazing visit to Pachacamac - We had a great tour with Aura. As it turned out, my son and I were the only ones one the tour which was great. Aura was personable, knowledgeable, and friendly. The visit to Pachacamac was great and we learned a lot about early Peruvian history. She also gave us recommendations for restaurants and other things to visit in Lima. All in all a great tour!

Incredible tour about history - My tour guide Leonardo was incredibly knowledgeable about Peruvian history and culture. He is not only attentive and friendly, also very patient in explaining details that I didn’t understand. His passion for history was truly infectious and makes me want to understand/ read more about pre-Colombian civilizations!! I strongly recommend this tour!!
