Traffic, Food and Fun! - On Monday, April 1st, my mother and I embarked on the Lima Colors and Flavors walking tour, a delightful fusion of food and art. Despite starting off with a challenge as our hotel was far from the tourist hub of Miraflores, and battling through heavy traffic, we managed to connect with the tour company via WhatsApp to inform them of our delay. Thankfully, they graciously extended our wait time and had a guide ready for us upon arrival. Welcomed warmly by Ms. Aura and her colleague Mr. Carlo(?), our tardiness resulted in a more intimate tour group, which added to the charm of the experience. Ms. Aura, our knowledgeable guide, not only provided us with the day's itinerary but also shared fascinating historical insights as we traversed each destination. Despite the initial apprehension of engaging with strangers, Ms. Aura's amiable demeanor created a comfortable atmosphere. Her evident passion and deep understanding of Peru instilled a sense of pride in her work and country. Venturing off the beaten tourist path, we explored local haunts, indulged in authentic cuisine, and immersed ourselves in the vibrant culture and music of Lima. Be warned, the tour is a culinary feast, so wearing stretchy pants is advisable! I highly recommend this unique experience, especially if led by the exceptional Ms. Aura.

Quite a nice tour - I had the incredible opportunity to take a food tour in Lima with guide Gaby, and it was an experience that exceeded all my expectations. We started by exploring Chorrillos, where Gaby took me to authentic and delicious places that I would never have found on my own. The food was simply spectacular, every bite was full of fresh, authentic flavors that truly captured the culinary heart of Lima. Furthermore, the amount of food was generous and left me completely satisfied. But the experience didn't end there; After enjoying the delicacies of Chorrillos, we headed to Barranco to enjoy an ice cream, the perfect sweet culmination for a morning full of gastronomic adventures. The guide Gaby not only had a deep knowledge of local food, but was also delightful company which made the tour even more enjoyable. I highly recommend this tour to anyone who wants to immerse themselves in authentic Lima cuisine and explore the charming neighborhoods of Chorrillos and Barranco. A truly unforgettable experience!

Magnificent tour! Highly recommend!! - Gabby was an extraordinary guide! We highly recommend this tour for anyone looking for experiences that can only happen by spending a half day with a friendly, knowledgeable, & sociable local. We would go on any other tour led by Gabby! Also, this tour group operator was very well organized; available in English & Spanish.
