- We loved this mini chocolate experience. We felt it was a better value over the fuller experience. Although we did not get to work with the actual cocoa beans in making our chocolate, we did get to create our own custom chocolates that we could take home with us. It also included a nice background on how and where most chocolate of the world is created. We also got to sample a few higher % chocolates at the gift shop.
Overall it was just what we wanted and for a very reasonable cost. Highly recommend!

We loved it! - We didn’t have a lot of time so we selected to do the mini workshop. It was great, Ernesto was very informative and super patient. Even though we were all adults, we had so much fun using our creativity. Definitely recommend!

Tasting passion! - I had the pleasure of meeting Romy at Chocomueso de Miraflores/Lima. It was a pleasant moment with a total discovery of chocolate making and its history: from cocoa, 5 times millennia old to chocolate which is less than 3 centuries old. Romy is passionate about her work, a passion she kindly shared with us, as well as tasting all the flavors of chocolate. We left enchanted and we strongly recommend this escapade in this "museum" of cocoa / chocolate: a visit to do, do not forget that Peru is the country at the origin of cocoa!...

A different experience for the whole family - I was visiting Lima with my children and that afternoon I was looking for what to do with them. I wanted a different experience and found chocomuseo. I wrote to them and their attention from the start was quick and friendly. My children loved the experience because it is complete, you know about cocoa, the process to turn it into chocolate and you also prepare your own. Most recommended ooooo!!

Chocolate lovers tour - Daniella was amazing and patient with our 6yo and all her questions. We had a blast and it’s definitely a tour for all ages to enjoy. If you love chocolate this tour is one you don’t want to miss.

A delicious experience - My husband and I did the mini workshop as the timing fit our schedule better than the longer (& more geared towards adults) bean-to-bar workshop. Romy was our teacher, and she is a delightful human with a great sense of humour and passion for all things chocolate. The chocolates we made were delicious, and the history was very interesting. Even if you don’t have kids, I wouldn’t hesitate to do the mini workshop if that’s all you have time for, it was a blast. Thanks Romy!

Fun - I love being able to make my own chocolate bar and all the ingredients to it that I wanted. It was a fun experience but what also made it worth it was the information on where chocolate comes from and how it is produced. They also had an actual cocao seed with beans inside to try and then proceeded to let you know how it is processed. They also had you try different grades of dark chocolate for you taste the difference. My tour guide was awesome, she had a very unique name that I sadly cannot recall. This whole place was very cute and had great items to try and buy. The workshop took about 1 hour to complete which worked for me since I didn’t want to spend 2 hours though the other workshop sounds amazing.

Due to a mistake in the timezone change, we didn't do it on time they were so kind to reschedule it one hour later even though it was almost at night. We were provided with a cup of chocolate and a lot of different toppings to choose, and basically it was about creating your chocolates, using whatever you want. They even had coca podwer! then, they gave us a tour covering the history of chocolate.</p>

A chocolatier is made - The shop is slightly hidden on the south side of the market, with an open air making area just across from the small shop. We did a walk in booking for the workshop and 20 minutes later we were making chocolate. Having picked a set of moulds we chose a pot of molten dark chocolate to fill the moulds with some of the 12 different fillings. These were then set in a freezer whilst Natalie took us through the growing and production process of the cocoa beans. You get to handle a pod and get the opportunity to eat a raw cocoa bean. The workshop took about 45 minutes and you end up with 200g of hand made chocolate. It was great fun, good value and interesting. However, I was disappointed that having paid for 1 of us in local currency, I was then charged an additional 8% conversion to UK sterling for the other ticket, which I was not asked to authorise, but noticed later was printed on my visa receipt as saying I had approved. Otherwise it would have been a 5 star review.
