- Foshay Tower - We’ll ascend into the second-story walkway from inside the Foshay Tower to begin the tour. We’ll walk through original department stores, new department stores, old banks turned modern restaurants, the widest skyway, the shortest skyway, the double skyway, buildings showcasing impressive collections of public art, sports venues - home to the Minnesota Twins, Minnesota Timberwolves and Minnesota Lynx, as well as some of the most historical buildings still standing, with memorabilia on display, in the skyway, of course. We’ll return to the Foshay Tower where you can take advantage of the opportunity to check out the city from the 31st floor of the only outdoor observation deck in the city!

Minneapolis boasts the largest unbroken skyway network in the world! It was first developed to offset the suburban expansion in the 1950s by injecting new life into the city’s retail center. Nowadays, these elevated walkways link 80 blocks across the city and stretch over 9 spectacular miles. They offer a comfortable and unique perspective to explore the city during any season – be it chilly times, heatwaves, rainy periods or even the particularly grueling Minnesota winter – practically all year round! Numerous hidden gems can be discovered within the distinctive architectural panorama of downtown, and often, the skyways provide the only access to these delights. Such an integral part of our urban fabric, the skyways have even inspired a song, fittingly called Skyway, by the Replacements.

Spring break skyways - Jessica was a fantastic tour guide and the skyways were very cool to experience and learn more about the history. Lots of unique foodie places and shops along the way, though it looks like even more to come back. My daughter and I had a great time! We would never have thought you could see so much of Minneapolis via skyways.

Great overview of downtown Minneapolis! - The tour gives a tremendous overview of downtown, the history of the skyway, various buildings, and other fun facts along the way, such as filming locations of TV shows. Jessica is extremely knowledgeable in all areas of the tour and is a fantastic guide. I strongly recommend!

Skyways with Jessica - We thought it would be more interesting to see the city’s skyways with a guide who could show us points of particular interest as well as talk about the city’s history, and Jessica did an excellent job with both. She was also great with communications prior to the tour.

Wonderful Tour and Tour Guide - The most memorable part of our tour was our tour guide, Jessica. She was very knowledgeable and answered any questions we had. She gave us history of the Skywalk and the city. She is very personable and down to earth. We would definitely recommend to anyone who is curious about Minneapolis.

New to MPLS - The guide was excellent and knowledgeable. We have a much better understanding of the skyway system and enjoyed learning about its history. Jessica introduced us to the art and architecture in the system, the light rail system, and Target stadium. We enjoyed it very much and got in a walk, too.

Best Tour Above the Streets - This was such a GREAT tour of downtown Minneapolis on one of the coldest days of this winter. History, architecture, art and so much more. Jessica was such a delight and full of information. My husband and I have recently moved to Mpls from Los Angeles so thoroughly enjoyed learning about our new city in the comforts of the skyway system. We cannot wait to explore more on our own and visit some of the many restaurants. Whether you're a visitor, a new transplant or a native, I encourage you to take this tour--one of the finest!

Incredible walk in downtown much better than touring in the streets - Great tour.
This skyway labyrinth brings you everywhere in downtown and you see architecture plazas piece of history that you’ll never see outside
