Highlights
  • Porta Ticinese - The ride starts from the ancient and bohemian Ticinese district, that owes its name to the eponymous city gate, and from there you saddle up on a classic Dutch-style bike through the must-see areas of the center.

  • Duomo di Milano - You will see the astonishing gothic Duomo Cathedral, the understated Royal palace, the Museo del Novecento and the chic Vittorio Emanuele Gallery.

  • Teatro Alla Scala - You will see from the outside another of the prime Milanese attractions that exudes class and sophistication: the Teatro alla Scala. The story behind the theatre is full of interesting facts and details you will love to learn.

  • Brera District - From La Scala Theatre you head to the Brera artist district where is the city’s Pinacoteca (Art Gallery). Brera is a picturesque neighborhood in Milan where it is impossible not to be charmed by the small artisan workshops in a labyrinth of streets dotted with well conserved period Milanese houses and buildings.

  • Porta Nuova - Once you left Brera, you immerse yourselves in the new rising architectures of the Porta Nuova district. From now on you will have the impression of visiting another era of the city: Palazzo Lombardia, Biblioteca degli Alberi, Unicredit tower, Bosco Verticale, a paradise for architecture enthusiasts.

  • Castello Sforzesco - You make a triumphal entry at Sforza Castle, a strong historical symbol of the city where, among various architects and designers, worked Leonardo da Vinci, who was called to Milan by Ludovico il Moro in 1482.

  • Sempione Park - After visiting the Sforza Castel courtyards, you breath and slow down a bit in the green lung of the city, Simplon park, with its elegant neoclassical Peace Arch.

  • Colonne di San Lorenzo - You get back to the starting point not before visiting the Roman Ruins of the Imperial era when Milan was capital of a glorious Roman Empire with its Palace, Circus and Amphitheatre and San Lorenzo columns.

Private Group Tour - Hen Weekend - Thank you to the whole team at Bike the City for creating such a fun and memorable experience for a group of 19 women on a hen weekend from the UK. Our guides Renata and Paolo were excellent and both so knowledgeable about the city and its history. We all had the best time and definitely recommend this as a must do activity for anyone visiting Milan.

Tour as described and expected - Tour was as expected. Quite safe routes. My bike seat was not so nice and hurt the sitting bones. Otherwise, with this tour you visit the most important places of Milan.

Perfect way to explore Milano! - We did a bicycle tour during our group visit to Milano, celebrating the 25 years of our company. We were with 60 persons and of course our group was split up in 5 subgroups. It was a perfect way to explore the city, going through quiet roads and pedestrian areas, stopping at different places with different identities. All participants were enthusiastic, we had good guides explaining ins and outs in a nice way. We can really recommend the tour as an activity for a group to get a good overview of the city Milan.

Pleasure to be guided by Bike The City - Paolo was our guide and his tour was lovely. Many interesting stops and quite a fair distance covered in our 3+ hour tour. I’m visiting Turin next, and will look up this same company there, weather permitting

Great ride, excellent guide - My partner and I booked this tour before arriving in Milano and I have to say it was well worth the money we explored a lot of the city both new and old and stopped for a 20 min break to have coffee and a rest but overall its very easy to ride since Milano is so flat. Our guide Paulo was awesome I learned so much about Italy and Milano with his knowledge. We visited many places including of course the Duomo. After the tour be sure to ask where the Canal district is as its only 10 min walk from the bike shop. Thank you again Paulo you were awesome
