A delightful small-group tour departs from Milan Central Station, offering a transfer by either train or minibus to the picturesque Lake Como. Upon arrival, participants enjoy a leisurely stroll through the enchanting village of Varenna and its surrounding areas. Following this, a 15-minute public ferry boat cruise provides a unique perspective of the stunning landscape.
The journey continues in a minivan along a scenic stretch of the lake shore, offering breathtaking views en route to a restaurant where guests can savor local cuisine (at their own expense, approximately €30 per person). Afterward, the tour explores a nearby, less-traveled region nestled in the magnificent Alps, with the occasional opportunity to visit a small local farmer or producer.
The tour concludes with a drive along another section of the lake, before taking the train back to Milan Central Station.
- Minimum age is 12 years
- Travellers must have a good physical fitness level and especially it is not recommended for people with heart problems or other serious medical conditions being a long day (11 hours) and involving some uphill walk and stairs.

LUCAfromItaly review - What an amazing experience, Luca was such a wonderful guide who went above and beyond to ensure that our tour went as seamlessly as possible. His local knowledge was second to none. My favourite part of the tour was visiting the delicatessen and sampling the local cheese. We got to try 1,2,5 and 10 year aged cheese, and ended up buying the 2 and 5 year. The shop was so neat and it stocked many locally produced items including wine, baked goods, pastas and confectionery. I won’t spoil the hidden surprise of the shops charm. Luca stopped at many little towns along our way to Lake Bellagio and even assisted us in reserving a table for lunch at a nice restaurant in the village of Dongo ahead of time as he was mindful that there were so many crowds. The ferry rides to Bellagio and Verrena were so scenic and browsing the stores in Bellagio was delightful. Being in a small group with Luca made us feel very special even though there were large crowds especially in Bellagio and Verrena. We definitely saw so much more than the large groups as Luca was able to get us around nimbly in his comfortable van. We were so grateful that even at the end of our tour, he took extra time to drive us out to the next train stop to ensure that we did not have to wait with the many hundreds of passengers waiting to board the train back to Milano. I really cannot recommend this tour highly enough, you will not be disappointed. Thank you, from Penny, Carl and Louis Rowan.

Amazing day with Luca - Our entire day was a seamless and stress-free experience, from the moment we arrived at the train station in the morning until we returned in the evening. Luca was an amazing and knowledgeable guide, making it a pleasure to spend the day with him. It felt like hanging out with a friend. The Lake Como area is stunning, and every location we visited was remarkable..

Great day trip to Lake Como! - We had a wonderful tour of Varenna and the adjacent areas around Lake Como. Luca and his team were great hosts, personable, and attentive to ensuring an enjoyable tour without any difficulties. This began with clear instructions on the departure location at Milan Central station to ensure we took the right train to Varenna and meeting Luca upon arrival. Luca was an excellent guide driving our family and friends in a van and stopping at unique points of interests that we wouldn't have been able to see if we hadn't toured with him. His hospitality throughout the tour and ensuring that we had seats on the return train to Milan were greatly appreciated!

Best tour I’ve been on - This trip was fantastic and undeniably the one to choose if there is availability. Luca has a strong attention to detail and thinks of everything when it comes to making a memorable tour. We loved getting the off the beaten path guide through lake Como. We were able to see a good amount of the lake and Lucca was a great guide pointing out historical landmarks and stopping to allow us to get the most scenic views of the lake. We loved stopping at the cheese shop and going to the smaller towns around the lake. Lucca is very hands on while also making time for the group to go off on their own - it was the prefect mix. Having been a bland tours in large groups where you are herding through crowds of people this tour is the one to do. I will be recommending it to anyone visiting. We loved this experience.

Beautiful Lake Como with Amazing Tour Guide - You're in for a treat! Ask for Luca! Luca is a natural and a professional tour guide. He took us places we wouldn't have known about. Everyone knew him! We thoroughly enjoyed our experience.

LUCA from Italy is the heart of Lake COMO - Our 3 weeks in Italy would not have been as wonderful as our day tour to Lake Como with LUCA from Italy! Excellent instruction on meeting at the Milan train station and escorted to our train with itinerary by one of his assistants. We then met LUCA in Varenna and were charmed and whisked away to his favorite Pasticceria away from the rest of the train tourists. After a cappuccino and rest break he guided us to a lovely waterfront trail for photo ops of the lake, meeting us at the other end with van to resume our explorations. We were informed along the way about the history and creation of the lake, alps, proximity to other countries while we made our first stop “up the valley” at the end of the lake to a sweet town, for exploring underground wine and cheese caves under a family store. We were treated to a delicious cheese tasting and time to shop the regional specialties. On the road again we were treated to stories about family villas along the east side, stopped for photos at a lovely point and then had lunch at a local restaurant that was excellent: local fresh fish and pasta with cabbage and the cheese sauce from the store cheese we had sampled, a regional specialty! Dinner for 2, with wine was ~€30! We weren’t done- ferry to Bellagio with an hour to wander, ferry back to Varenna. LUCA too us to a high lookout for another amazing photo op. Realizing the the train at Varenna would be overly crowded with day tourists, he took us to the next train station up so we could easily get seats for our journey back to Rome!!! Our group of 6 strangers couldn’t have been happier to spend the day together: LUCA from Italy, Kristine from France, Irina and Vlad from Serbia, Jim and Kelly from USA. Grazie, LUCA!

Such a great tour! Luca... - Such a great tour! Luca is very knowledgeable and took us to lots of different places, including some quieter and less visited towns. We were also able to try some amazing local food and wine. I highly recommend this to anyone who wants to see parts of Lake Como less accessible without a car and who like a more personalised experience in a smaller group with a great local guide.

Best. Day. Ever!! - When my friends and I decided to spend a day in Lake Como, we didn’t realize it would be the best part of our trip in Italy! We loved every moment of our day. We met our tour leader, Silvia, on the train before we arrived, and she guided us through the area the entire day. With the help of Luca, Silvia taught us so much about this extraordinary lake. Luca and Silvia are both so excited and passionate about teaching others about their homeland. We were fortunate enough to have our tour one on one with Silvia and Luca. We visited a local farm and walked around while learning about the making of their cheese. We then had to buy some cheese of course :)
This tour was so much more than the price point. For us five college students, we are so grateful for their patience and enthusiasm. They taught us so much. We will remember this day for the rest of our lives.
So of course, we will rush back to Lake Como just to visit Silvia and Luca again!

Worst experience from airindia staffs in Cochin international airport - Very bad experience from airindia staffs of Cochin airport especially, the male wearing eyeglass .his behaviour to ladies is very bad. He ask extra payment for boarding. I didn't pay . He cancelled my ticket, and closed boarding pass before time , he sell my ticket to another . Worst experience from airindia. kindly inform.
