Milan opera house is a world leader - Lombardy is among the world's leaders in opera; La Scala is best-known in Milan. La Scala has astounding decor and acoustics; it will accommodate some 2,000 music lovers. La Scala's staging and presentation is first-class; it's a byword for excellence. La Scala is a traditional opera house; it's in the center of Milan, easy to access.

The center of operatic history - One of the destinations I was longing to see in Milan and I was not disappointed. Incredible theatre with so much history. We did a guided tour with Italy Hidden Experiences to appreciate the full picture of what has occurred over the year. Our guide, Giorgio, was wonderful and gave us so much amazing information, while answering all the questions we threw back at him. If you're near Milan, you have to see the incredible La Scala. For the full experience though, definitely try to get a tour by Giorgio who paints an amazing picture of the history.

Wonderful tour of La Scala - Nina guided us on a tour of La Scala for 1.5 hours. She had extensive knowledge of the opera house, its great performances, composers and performers. She answered our questions patiently and thoroughly. I highly recommend the tour and Nina as a guide. It is a spectacular building with a rich history; worth a visit if you love opera, or even if you don’t

Great for Opera Enthusiasts - This is a great tour for the opera enthusiast. It goes into great detail about the history of the different operas and the great composers who played there. The majority of the tour was spent touring the museum Unfortunately due to a live performance we had to wait till after the tour to get a glimpse of the La Scala Theater. It was magnificent.

La Scala museum tour - Our guide was in a hurry. She spoke quickly, and went through the museum in a whirlwind. We went from room to room learning very little. She mentioned few of the people that were portrayed in the many paintings, didn’t speak much about the musical instruments, or other things in the exhibits. We were finished in no time. It was an expensive 45 minutes, and I would not recommend the tour we took.
