Hop on Hop off bus - Great way the orientate yourself around the City. Highly recommended. Just be aware that traffic is crazy and by the end of the day the fumes can be bad

Basic Experience - My family and I enjoy doing Hop On/Hop Off tours in major cities to get an initial lay of the land when we first arrive in a place & get a broad overview of the major sites with some interesting facts. The one in Milan was no different and overall, we enjoyed it. It offers several different routes to take & covers all the important sites. However, there were several problems. There isn’t a map available of the different available stops on either the Viator app or the CitySightseeing Bus site - the CitySightseeing site doesn’t even have Italy available as an option! It wasn’t until we got onboard that we were able to get a paper map with the different available routes. The other problems are technological. The audio on a good many seats did not work at all — my husband had to move seats 3x to find an audio that worked. The top level seats are popular & folks had to keep moving seats around because of it. The other big issue is that the audio doesn’t necessarily match up with the actual location. Many times the narrator would be describing something that we had already passed or hadn’t come to yet so we didn’t know what we were seeing. If they could fix these glitches, it would be a much better experience.

Fair - I’m sure the rain impacted my experience, but we generally use a hop on/hop off to get the feel for a city when we first arrive. It was good to get out of the rain, but didn’t walk away with better sense of the city of Milan.

Audio tour doesn't work. - Audio does not work on any of the buses. Basically, you are getting a ride around Milan. The vehicle is very dirty. Do NOT sit on the bottom.. it is a miserable experience.

Useful - Somewhat informative. Biggest issue was finding the stops to catch the busses. Did more walking than should have. If you get off to visit something it was hard to find a bus if you were not getting back on same bus. Good idea that could be improved with detailed maps

Never ever! - The audio system on the first bus had French instead of German on various seats, or a loose connection. And when it did work, the audio was interrupted because a stop was announced. We then tried a second tour. It was a bit better. But 90% of the time classical music plays and it's always the same thing... I think Milan has a lot more to offer than two or three sentences between stops. I could have saved myself the money and just taken public transport. It's a shame, I've had better tours of this kind. This one was simply terrible!

Services not delivered - Absolutely terrible, a complete shambles. No buses untill 1.40pm due to a marathon happening, wish they had told us prior to booking!!!! When the buses did start we waited at 2 different stops and no buses came. Used the live app and they were mostly stuck in the same location. Will be going back to Big Bus in the future. Also struggling to get a refund for this.

Very disappointing! - First we wanted to take the yellow line. 3 out of 4 headphones gave information in French, even though we had chosen the German channel. Since the escort didn't know what to do either, we parents had to listen to it in a foreign language (alternatively it would have worked in the lower part of the bus, but you can't see anything there!). The foreign language was OK in our case, since unfortunately more music is played than actual information is given anyway. However, when text about the sights came on, the escort usually chatted and announced the next stop. Incredibly tedious... Secondly we tried the green route: This wasn't much better either. Although 3 out of 4 sockets worked (even in German), the information here was unfortunately extremely sparse.
