Jameson Distillery Midleton - Located in Midleton, around a 15-minute drive from the city of Cork visitors begin by watching an informative video that will introduce you to the story of Jameson who has been producing Irish whiskey for more than 240 years. Next take a walk through the old distillery in the company of an expert guide. Enter a 19th-century warehouse, which has been carefully restored with original features and now stores casks full of aging whiskey.

Good experience, but wanted more of Midleton. - The tour and premium whiskey tasting was great. Bart did an excellent job of providing us with information throughout the whiskey making process, and also answering the group’s questions. The only thing we were disappointed in, was only getting one tasting of Midleton whiskey - and that was only due to purchasing the premium whiskey tasting in addition to the tour. We are Midleton drinkers and we thought we’d be tasting more of that brand.

Great experience - We did a private taste testing at the beginning, and then the tour, very much recommend it so you have time to walk off the alcohol so you can enjoy another tasting at the end with the group tour. Was very enjoyable, highly recommended.

Have a drink and learn about where it comes from - It was a cold and rainy day, which made it all the more authentic. Short (12 minute) walk to the distillery, followed by a wonderful tour of the ground and a review of the history of the property and whiskey.
Tasting was great and the drink at the end in the beautiful bar was a nice ending.

Loved every minute of it. - Myself and a friend booked the Distiller’s Apprentice Tour on Saturday 30 March. Our guide was Joe Treacy and he was an excellent host. I’m guessing what he doesn’t know about whiskey is not worth knowing. He kept the tour interesting and fun. As luck would have it, he also was an excellent barman😜. The highlight was opening the 27 year old cask in the cellar and sampling the contents……fantastic. We also got to try the Barry Crockett, as well as a nice Jameson and Powers. I couldn’t leave without tasting the 2023 Very Rare and at €20 a shot was excellent value. A great tour for novices and experts alike.

Must see! - Great tour to find out about art of making Irish whiskey. I'm nor whiskey lover but this was above my expectations, professional and knowledgeable guide, see something you can't see everyday, learn about art of making whiskey, tasting, smells, beautiful bar and shop..
Suggest morning tour while is not crowded.

So glad we made time - So glad we made time for this tour! It’s both informative and fun. The grounds are absolutely gorgeous, and the tour takes you inside many historic buildings. Rory is the best tour guide! He’s super friendly and funny, and easily answered all questions. Our teenagers gave their approval as well - high praise!

Highly recommend - This was the best distillery tour I have been on. The Guide was super friendly and very knowledgeable about the whole whiskey process from start to finish. The premium whisky tasting was also an excellent way to top off the tour. Highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys learning a bit of history and likes whiskey
